I am reopening this thread because of various users showing interest.
Please note that this pack WILL NOT be updated any further. It will not be made 1.8 compatible, nor will the items, paintings, etc get completed.
Please observe the new rules regarding usage as well.

This is for anyone who may wish to use the pack post 1.8.
You must patch!:
This pack requires the use of either MCPatcher or OptiFine. Any questions regarding things that can be fixed with a patcher will be ignored. Sorry!
This pack includes alternate textures! 32x and 64x versions:
In the main folder, you will find an alt_textures.png that contains a sheet of alternates to use until I get around to making a customizer. To replace these textures requires a basic knowledge of image editing. I suggest using Gimp or Paint.net for your image editing needs. Remember to back up your files before hand. Hopefully, this file will continue to grow with even more options!
Also in the main folder you will find a folder called "alt_gui". To make this your gui, simply rename it 'gui' and rename the 'gui' folder as 'alt_gui'.
32x only:
In the misc. folder, there is a folder called Alt_Grass_Foliage. There are two biome file sets (one saturated, the other unsaturated) to pick from. Simply rename the files to their appropriate names and swap them out!
In the item folder, there is a file called alt_sign.png. This is for builders who use signs for chair arms and so forth. To use it, name sign.png to alt_sign.png, and alt_sign.png to sign.png.
Also something to note: Sponge in both packs are currently a decorative block all it's own. To anyone who plays 'legit' and doesn't have access to sponge; you are welcome to move that texture to a wool slot or anything else that suits your fancy!
These packs originally stemmed from the frustration my boyfriend and I felt when we would skip over ores in caves due to low visibility. Either the stone was too dark, or the ore blended in really well. I decided to make a pack based on 'clarity'. Something clean looking that could still pass as an RPG pack and compliment buildings in a positive manner. This pack is particularly helpful for anyone who might have vision issues, or a monitor that has terrible gamma issues. It also supports a clean and easy-on-the-eyes UI that makes it easy to see when you're in a pickle! It's also super obvious when wheat is grown, for instance, for us farming types.
It doesn't take itself too seriously, though.
Please note that these are personal packs that I decided to share with you minecraftians. This means that these packs are not open for block suggestions or asking for things like 'smooth stone tweaks'. Sorry!

News + Updates:
8/14/11: Thread reopened with proper copyrights. It will no longer be updated. Please observe the new rules regarding proper usage and sharing rights.
8/10/11: Both packs receive new lava. No more blurry lava, yay! Fixed flowing water being too bright for both packs. Both packs got ore overhauls. 64x now has 32x style powered rails. 32x skull blocks got a small tweak as well.
8/9/11: Added Alternate Textures to 64x version. This includes wool, stone slabs, refined ore blocks and lighter cobble/mossy cobble! Because it now includes wool, I have removed the wool pack from the download options.
8/8/11: New name and banner!
8/7/11: Now supporting 64x as well! Huzzah! Please read under 'important stuff' at the top for more info. Also added my old biome files to the 32x pack. The old biome files are still there, though!
8/7/11: Boats, Minecarts and Signs completed, as well as water tweaks!
8/7/11: Thread made, pack uploaded! Straightening out the edges a little.
I'd like to thank this entire community for inspiring me. There are a lot of beautiful packs that help give me wonderful ideas, and lots of amazing artists in general.
I'd also like to thank user Vitrolic_Edge for helping me name this pack!
If you have any troubles with the pack or downloading that ISN'T patcher related, let me know. This pack has had little testing at this point, and is still a big work in progress. I will try to update this thread and pack as regularly as humanly possible, but again, I ask for your patience! My life is full of unpredictability at the moment.

This last bit is for my own comfort.
Under the spoiler are any textures I've made that aren't related to this pack.
These textures are free to use in NON PROFIT PUBLIC and/or PRIVATE packs unless stated otherwise, but you must credit me if the pack is posted publicly. Thank you.

Thank you! One of my guys major requests was to have a redstone that was easily visible, and was clear about whether it was powered or not, since in certain packs it's honestly difficult to tell sometimes.
Love it, the wood it reminiscent of Doku which I think looks very pleasing.
Also you've managed to get the detailing of certain blocks whilst make the others subtle where it's appropriate, good job, not many pack I see perform this.
Good job, also I also commend proper thread setup, I do like some background, some Q & A and progress logs.

Thank you, thank you and thank you!
I rather like how Doku's wood broke up the monotony of constant planks, so I definitely wanted to include something similar. Of course, I decided it was only fair to provide a flat-plank variation for anyone who wishes to use it.
I also hope to spruce up the thread a little more, as well. It's informational, but very bland, I feel. Still, thank you. :smile.gif:
You could spice up the topic thread by a nice banner and screenshots featuring some builds that feature good block combos. Also search up PlanetMinecraft it's pretty popular and getting more traffic to your pack is always a good thing.
Actually, do you know of any particular builds? I've been trying to find some, but I haven't had much luck. A pack preview is one thing, but a build really does show much more.
I think I will tinker with a banner and some such things later on today when I have the time, thank you for the suggestion. :smile.gif: I also completely forgot about PlanetMinecraft. I think I'll post there once I've got a bit more done. :smile.gif:
New update! Includes boats, signs (as well as an alternate sign file) and minecarts, as well as a tweak to the water. Now it's not quite so crystal clear, but still maintains plenty of visiblity from above!
This pack making stuff is stupidly addicting.. can I say I totally understand why people have multiple packs out? Because goodness gracious me. I've got some ideas running through my head. I need to finish what I started here, though. (The items, at least. Armors and mobs and paintings will take me quite some time.)
And just so I'm not 'bumping' my thread empty handed, have an overly filtered screenshot from before I released the pack.
Major update! I am now supporting my 64x along with my 32x pack, for those who prefer the nice clean look of a higher resolution. This pack will take a bit of work, so it will update a little slower than the 32x pack. However, I plan to support both packs equally, so people can get the best of both worlds!
I hope you all enjoy, and thanks again so much for all the kind words.
Please let me know if you have any troubles with the 64x pack or it's downloads. I tried to make sure everything was properly placed and no loose files were left, but y'never know!
I'm also aware lava is blurry on the 64x pack. If this bothers you, you are more than welcome to replace it with your favorite lava for the time being!
Now here's a question - I'm looking for name suggestions.
Lahore's Craft is pretty silly sounding. So does Lahorecraft. -craft names are in abundance
I thought "Clarity Pack" or something similar, but I'm concerned about people simply thinking it's a simple/smooth pack (which can be lovely, don't get me wrong, but are often looked over for that fact.)
I don't have any ideas for a new name, I name my packs as single word statements, Vitrolic's Edge's 'Glossy' but then that shortens down to Glossy Pack, I have another two packs in the workings where I plan to call them 'Scanned' and 'Overcast', but that's my style of naming.
I'm gonna spit out some words what I think describe the pack, maybe you can think of a title:
Nature, Beauty, Enchanted, Dark, Ebony, Intrinsic and Organic.
Also made some nice screenshot just cause I can :tongue.gif: The name I've adopted for the screenshot is, 'Fire Hazard' with and without the 'hipster' effect.
Fantastic work, you have made a great texture. I'm surprised how unnoticed this is, it deserves a lot more views. I especially love the wooden planks on the 64x version.
Keep up the good work :smile.gif:
