That's actually not too bad, the 70's bathroom tile lapis. And to make it gold look shiny... From my experience as an artist, you want to use a higher value contrast, and follow your light source very well.
And don't forget, I'm on a mac, so make sure the solution to my problem is for a mac.
@the new guy: click the download link on the first post, then choose either the 256x or 64x version to download. you will also need to patch your game with MCpatcher(<---click me) to use any pack that is not 16x. (especially this one)
Shhh he's on to us.. Flee! Sorry, could not resist (I told Grugsy I am going to get reported here soon for being off topic I am sure).
Well, one way to avoid that is to say something off topic, and then suddenly get on topic. It's what I do sometimes, just to make sure I don't get a second warning. My first was necroposting... man that was dumb. Although, I'm also wondering...does Grugsy actually have an idea for a beacon block? I'm sure he will think of something, but I'm curious to know.
I LOVE the sandstone bricks! What an awesome design you made for them (did I mention I liked the sandstone bricks?) I have one question though--what are the yellow flowers based on? It looks like a plant maybe?
ahh...lol the flowers were just random sketches... but I was thinking bell flower for the yellow ones. something I saw in a game years and years ago.... (kinda looks like a pokemon I saw once too...lol) I've never really been able to explain those.....
if I could pull it off, they would be a dim light source, and the bugs would be buzzing around them.
edit: here's the first idea for the layout of the texture showcase part of the world I'm making. signs are going next to each block type, and the blocks are only visible from top and one side to cut down on bumpmap overlapping. It's going to all come together as the courtyard for a mansion/castle....hopefully...lol
lol... I stumbled across an article that had it listed with a lot of others that "started as porn", but most of it was barely considered ecchi by american standards.... guess proper japanese society sees it differently. ( article was translated)
