I'm still tweaking the lighting... about to test out a false shadow effect and see how close I can get with it. (with a lightmap....not shaders..and without losing too many colors.) I still feel like the nights are too bright, but I don't want to overdo it... creepers in dark caves freak me out. lol
edit: and an update on the compression..... 3 files to go... portal, and both water animations.... looks like it's gonna be closer to 15mb saved.
I'll compress the 64x before I update it too... gonna polish it as much as I can before putting it on curse.
256x is down to 140mb.... gonna get some stuff finished up today and compress the files i am working on... I'll try to have the update posted everywhere tonight or tomorrow morning. some asshole backed into me in a grocery parking lot earlier, back hurts.... so I'm not too keen on sitting in my captains chair much right now.....

cool beans... gonna have to work out a place for it when I redo my op. working on a new banner for the top and for my sig, something closer to my new splash screen. I may have to shrink it a bit to fit... but I'm definitely going to do as I suggested and post it on my op. did you happen to run the idea by the TAU? (I'm slacking...haven't checked it today) edit: just suggested it in TAU thread
@everyone not in that conversation: I am 100% behind Gamex101 and his new mod support logo's on the TPC.... I suggested we try to make them standard somehow for people to instantly recognize what extras our packs may offer without a prior visit to the TPC, and in a way that links to it, to help our fellow artists get more exposure. Not to mention a way to try and build TPC back up to the massive archive it once was.
Dude, that is sexy. And by texture merge, i mean that I appear to be halfway loaded between default and your texture pack. I've even got a new game altogether and its still like that.
that is freaking weird.... a couple others have reported it too... on optifine and mcpatcher threads... someone reported it on the glsl thread too... no idea what is causing it.
I've posted on the mcpatcher thread and received no response. If you can find a solution for me, PM me with the answer. And I have been collecting suggestions from mod authors as to where to start coding. I intend to start as soon as band camp is O-V-E-R Over.
more playing with ore blocks... other than tweaking the bump/spec... emerald is done. thinking about calling the iron done too. I still need to make the gold polished and shiny, but I cleaned it up some more. Lapis is done now. and I'm about to redo the diamond yet again.
