but making it ctm compatible? seems like just adding it to ctm would be easier...(since that's the obvious progression anyway)
aaand... on topic... (got another infraction for it ) gonna be adding a bunch of screens to the latest album later, and possibly working on some more ctm stuff...lol also, started working on the golem texture...
You need around 1.5-2 gigs to make it run properly. Right click on minecraft and select package contents. look for a file that's called Info.plist. open it, then scroll down towards the bottom, and look for this line <string>-Xms512M -Xmx1024M</string>. change the second number depending on how much memory you want to allocate.
@immaculatedis: what darkling said... or check the readme on the op/in the pack. I wrote instructions for creating a batch file to run mc with more memory.
@Darkling: right on... that's the first time i think i have seen anyone build with the other wood textures. lol I haven't even gotten around to using them yet in any of my stuff.
sorry there haven't been any more updates this week... been feeling pretty ill.. allergies are kicking my ass. I'll get back to work as soon as I'm feeling better.
edit: anyone else think the day to night transition is a little abrupt since I changed the lightmap?
unfortunately no. I'm feeling terrible, haven't done anything but sleep and lay around reading for the past few days. (and check in here a few times throughout the day.)
I'm not doing the snapshots this time around. I need to get more of the neglected stuff done. I'm probably not even going to run shaders again until 1.4. I keep up with the news, and I always download a couple packs that do keep up so I have an idea of what to work on though. (and will stick it in the test downloads if I make something)
I'm planning on focusing on the gui first. I have some great ideas, and I have things I need to learn to pull them off. (I'm excited about learning new stuff!) I have to say... I really don't feel comfortable enough drawing with a mouse to tackle the items. plus I'm really poor, so my options there are limited to /deal. there is good news in that though, I'm also starting to work on the paintings... so I'm getting a lot of good practice.
between trying to find work, my recent illness, and paying attention to the elections.... I seem to have become way too depressed to even try to be creative... it'll pass... and once I'm feeling better I will get back to updating. sorry y'all.
hey i like the texture pack can i use it in my minecraft video where i pretty much make a texture pack spotlight? And i will provide a link to this page in the description
Just wanted to let you know I really appreciate your work. This is by far my favorite texture pack... 256bit is like a whole different game and now I can't go back, haha
Really love this texture pack, everything looks great, but there is one thing that is a bit of a problem for me. I use redstone ALOT, and there just isnt enough difference between unpowered and powerd restone. So please consider changing it in some way, maybe darkening the red of unpowered.
