Barring just virtual machining Windows and running Paint.NET like a boss, I use Gimp on Macs. The whole X11 environment behaves a little wonkily, but once you get used to it it works out just fine.
If happen to have photoshop you could looks at This site. Or, if you don't own it, don't waste the money and get GIMP. Photoshop and GIMP are a bit overpowered for texture packs and if that is all you are going to use them for you do not want to fork out the $200+ for photoshop. Another option is paint.net I know a few packs that have been made with that that are decent.

The main reason why I use photoshop is because I need to learn how to use it. I am pursuing a degree in motion graphics and computer animation. But like I said earlier, there is no reason to pay a lot of money for a program that you will only use casually. GIMP is just as good. :biggrin.gif:

The problem is that I have a mac and the following programs are useless to me...
i can't use photoshop (too confusing for me >_<) and a adaptation of MSPaint for mac is broken... Im hoping for something less than say... $25
If you could suggest anything, Thank You!

I'll definitely look into all these options.
EDIT:Gimp works like a charm :biggrin.gif:
