Information
This pack has been in use by a few of my close friends as well as myself for quite some time, and as such, I've decided to share it with the rest of the community. I started creating this pack right after the Halloween update in October of 2010. The idea of this pack came from another simple texture pack that went by the name of Elementz, which was a unique twist on simple texture packs with his own vibrant and simple textures. Sadly, I can no longer find the original post or download for the Elementz texture pack.
Every texture in terrain.png is unique work created by me personally. Most of the original textures were inspired by Elementz, but the newer textures, anything after pumpkins, were inspired by textures I've collected over the years. The main inspiration will be listed in "Acknowledgements". However, the items, moon, and sun textures are not all completely unique work. Most of the item's textures are a collection of my favorite item textures collected from other texture packs. If I remember correctly, most of the items come from the doku and painterly packs. As such, I will be including two files, one download with completely unique textures, and another download with all the textures I personally use.
All the textures follow a simple and vibrant theme that blends together, as well having easily identifiable blocks. I made this texture with smooth lighting off in mind, as it was created well before smooth lighting even existed. All the blocks are separated and defined, which makes the block-based lighting blend well with the pack. However, smooth lighting turned on still provides a very nice environment to play. Another note I should make is this pack is customized for fast graphics, as fancy graphics produce a few quirks in the tiling. Ultimately, the graphical settings will be up to your own discretion, but I would advise trying a few different settings to find which works best for you.
Acknowledgements
- Elementz: Base inspiration, and forever lost in time.
- Doku: Many items are based on his packs.
- Painterly Pack: A few items based on this pack, as well as some tile inspiration.
- Everyone Else: If you see any texture being used that you created, then please contact me. This pack started ages ago, and some absolutely deserved acknowledgements may be missing.
Downloads (v1.2)
The Clean Tweak - Recommended (Contains work from other packs)
Note: I recommend using the texture pack that contains the items, sun, and moon files. However, the all original pack will still work if you only want custom work with the default Minecraft items. The current items.png is shown below.

Thank you for you time, and I hope you enjoy the texture pack. If there is any misplaced credits, or missing credit where credit is due, then please send me a PM and I will update accordingly. Below are a few images that showcase my texture pack.
Enjoy.

Terrain.png; I doubled the resolution to show detail. The pack is a 16x16 pack.
Items.png; Once again doubling the size to show detail. This is to simply show the items currently being used, since I have a few more custom items completed.
i love it! its not one of those simple packs you see everywhere here, i only think that you should make the stone the same as in the ores, and the water + lava could use some improvement, but i really like it now!
kiu!
Glad to hear you like it. Lava and water are headaches I've tried to tackle on multiple occasions. The animation aspect is what always gets me. I'd love a lighter colored water similar to what I have now, but with flowing animation that looks at least mostly correct. Maybe one day I will find a great middle ground.
As for stone, thank you for the input. I wanted a clear distinction from cobble stone to stone, which is why it looks so different. However, I have had that stone texture for ages, and it is probably due for a good updating.
Edit: i agree though with the lava and the stone needing a little change.I really like the ores though. you should keep the ores and change up the cobble and clean stone. For the water i think it's pretty good, but lava looks sort of like the original pumpkins all stacked up. it could use some change.
Thank you for the offer. I may take you up on that later.

Thank you for the input. I've done some adjusting before I head out tonight. I listed the changes below.
your swasi glowstone and soul sand is better than mine -cwy-
I like glowstone blocks that resemble "light fixtures" so to speak, helps aesthetically. Feel free to use those textures, just be sure to credit back if you end up publishing the pack you use. Assuming your using a customized pack of course.
v1.1 Changes:
- Water and lave have been reverted to older textures that I made using the default minecraft water. This will need updated in the future.
- Smooth stone has been updated to fit better with the ores, and Cobblestone has been updated to be more building friendly. Mossy Cobblestone has been updated accordingly as well.
- Leaves have been edited to do away with the old fancy settings leave textures and better represent the normal leaves being used.
- Fixed an error in coloring with bookshelves that did not tile with planks.
I'm not sure whether I'm going to publish my texture pack since too many people automatically think "Nazi" when they see a swastika, its got nothing to with it, its just a cool shape that makes many pretty patterns.
that being said, I wont copy outright but i may take inspiration from you in creating my soul sand (I already made glowstone that I'm happy with) and I'll credit you as inspiration if i decide to publish. [:
I always saw my soul sand as whirlpools in mud, that slows you as you try to cross. Everyone interprets art in their own little ways.
As for your pack, unless it is outright blatant, I doubt anyone would take offense. Glad you have glowstone your happy with though.
v1.1 Additions:
- Added items.png to the main page
- Cleaned up doors, sign, bed, and redstone repeater in items.png
- Cleaned up the original post in general, mainly typos.
v1.2 Changes:
- Water has been slightly tweaked to have a "clearer" look to it.
- Customized quite a few items to better fit the pack as a whole.
- * Items: Bricks (Iron, Gold, Clay), Compass, Clock, Paper, Map, Redstone, Glowstone, Clay, Painting
- Started work on some mob edits, though a full mob overhaul won't be in the near future.
Brilliant! The only thing I would like to see changed are the black lines on the chest, Other then that;
Great job!
Thank you for the tip. I think I have an easy way to fix that issue.
In other news. I have slowed down on development, but I do plan to keep this texture pack going as time progresses. When new patches come out, I have renewed interest in minecraft so look for updates around then. :wink.gif:
Thank God. I logged on today completely terrified that I wouldn't be able to find a clean texture pack and thanks to you and only you and nobody else, I may now sleep soundly and satisfied tonight.

I know the feeling! It's like the issue of trying to find a realistic/semi-realistic pack. I can't find one anywhere.
Now, sarcasm aside, I'm sorry that you do not care for "clean" texture packs. However, your implying it is simply the same as other "simple" texture packs on the forums. This is far from the truth.
When I created this pack months ago, I had a problem. My problem was there were no "clean" texture packs that solved the various issues I had, like weird tiling when viewing objects from a distance. Many "simple/clean" packs at the time had a "vibration" issue when viewing lines from a distance. Instead of twiddling my thumbs, I did something about it. I created this pack, with a little inspiration, into something that I and many others use regularly. After many months, I was convinced to share, as I have done.
I dislike "super high def realistic" packs, while you dislike clean packs. I spent my time creating this pack that suited certain needs, just as your pack suits your needs. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I simply ask for constructive criticism when you leave your opinion.
Edit: Clean is not to be confused with simple, I see simple as those 1x1 4x4 packs that claim to increase fps.
