It's been a while since I last updated Nyxcraft. I guess you could say, I got caught up with the summer activities. Since summer is almost over, I can now happily say that the pack is making progress. So Enjoy.
Nyx is a Greek primordial goddess of the night. She is known for the birth and creation of the universe. A fitting name because as a player in minecraft, you shape and create the world around you. Nyxcraft is a Greek themed texture pack made for those who want to recreate ancient Hellenistic Cities and worlds. In here you will find blocks that can be used as columns, stone as smooth and as bright as limestone. Bricks as tiled and red as terracotta, and many more. If you are looking for a complete texture overhaul with a Greek style, then this is your kind of texture pack. Feel free to comment and suggest ideas. I'm open ears. I will not respond to comments I find negative or rude.

This looks alright, I'm going to download it and see if it is even compatible with all the mods I already have installed. If not, then I'll take out my mods and give better feedback. lol
OK, I love the wooden textures, the beds, the pumpkins and the torches. I won't list all the good things, theres too many. Although, I'm using a couple modsthat don't work in-game with the pack. I'll list those with the issues...
MoreTrees - Nandonalt - I was wondering if you would be able to incorporate this mod into the pack so that you can changes the textures of the trees or something. I think you would have to ask Nadonalt to do this though. I think it would make the whole pack look better and everything in-game would flow together. Know what I mean?
mod_BetterGrassAndLeaves[v1.7.3 C] - When I use this texture pack and most texture packs for that matter, this mod becomes "dormant" I guess. The game does not crash or anything, it still runs quite alright. But instead, the better leaves are gone and the better grass part turns all the grass pieces intpo a weird "X" shape on the ground with black and orange all over it. It looks really really strange and out of place. Would you be able to talkwith the mods creator and get that part incorporated in as well.
TooManyItems2011_07_01 - When I go to look for the map, there isn't one. I looked up and down but didn't find it anywhere in the inventory editor. Also, when I first installed the texture pack, I HAD a map in my inventory already, but when I hovered my mouse over it, it was empty but the name showed up? I'm wondering if you can fix this please?
Oh and Ithink blue water would be better... :wink.gif: Green just makes it feel............ nasty. lol
Very nice pack, but it isn't really that old-Greek, except for the Omega bed and the white stones. (and that red bricks are more Roman style)
But very good pack!
Well, the tile idea came from references of the Hellenistic city of Pergamon around 281 BC. So I think it fits the theme.
I'm currently working on the interface and decided I should upload pictures of my progress. This is the current design for the user's inventory. Made with Greek patterns.
fantastic pack you have here soulscribe. I really love the cobble stone and your ore (may I ask why the ore is in different stone?) ignore my idiocy here.
The gravel could do with a touch of different coloured rocks in it. Also the contrast between dirt and Stone is very high and can look a bit strange. Perhaps look at a more arid soil or top soil.
I also feel some of the textures are a bit flat, the tree has so much detail and yet it gets a bit lost under anything but full light.
The brick, WOW, what more do I need to say, tiled roofs is a brilliant idea. love the clay too.
Wheat is excellent in shape, it could benefit from some more shading.
chests look amazing on top, and then the sides are so smooth and... well boring, and to me it doesnt feel like the smooth i think you were going for I think it looks a bit unfinished.
this is all my opinion and I have no past in pixel art to back me up so feel free to take it as a grain of salt. I love the pack, but saying what i love wont help the pack grow. Best of luck, I look forward to seeing more updates.

I'm still gonna use this for a while. :wink.gif:
Thank You. Hoping to see a video demo from you soon.
Thanks Soul! :biggrin.gif:
Awesome, back to making some greek temples then!
Enjoy.
If you want, post pics. I'd like to see them.
