Ok, thanks that's kinda what I thought but I'm trying to be reaaaaallllly cautious. I probably won't go to it until I'm 100% sure though (if i get a virus I'm dead meat, not to mention i won't be able to play minecraft)
IT IS NOT SAFE, I was going to make a pack with my friend and they have a different anti-virus software than I do and when they went to the page it showed them it wasn't safe so they dint use it, I didn't listen and did it anywise. We play a server off my computer, its not the best but works perfectly well with just a couple people on the server, but after the download it was extremely laggy for my friends. They would break a block and about 10 seconds later the block would actually break, yet my anti-virus software did not find anything wrong. I deleted the folders but it did not make a difference, it is still, to this day to laggy to run a smooth server with friends. don't download it!
One: Norton says almost everything is a virus, so yeah
Two: I go on painterly all the time and I haven't gotten a single virus from it. Just try not to click any ads.
Three: It won't load because you are probably using Internet Explorer, I had the same problem. Try using another browser, such as Firefox (What I use) or Google Chrome. If you were desperate, you could download Safari, but in my opinion it isn't as good as Firefox.

EDIT: And Logan, it's probably another program you installed or your server is just being an ass, a texture pack wouldn't do anything like that. Look at how many other people use painterly, they're not complaining about viruses.
