Seriously? Well, I'm glad you like it, but that's very surprising. It's not that I don't like the unframed glowstone, I just like framed so much more. It's better for buildings and such.
It can be yes, but they dont look right in hell. Your frame is also nothing to get excited about (sorrrrryyyyyy) the stone underneath however IS, I really enjoy it. Only thing I would say is have a bit more colour variance in the 'warmer' palette colours.

Well, thanks for letting me know that you don't like it! Although I may not change it, I'll take it into consideration.
As for the variance in color, I was actually going to do that but eventually decided not to. Maybe I'll try to do that again, because it's pretty successful in blocks like my cobblestone, brick, and netherrack.
And to everyone that looks at my thread but doesn't comment: Please do so! :biggrin.gif: It'll help me out in the longrun. I understand that this pack is far from the perfect texture pack, but if I got a little more help from you guys maybe it would be!
I look forward to more updates Giffca. The frame I think only needs a little work, look at how steelfeathers did her frame, a prime example of the lighting yours is missing :smile.gif:
perhaps even some covers on the corners... who knows. Just throwing out ideas, didn't mean to sound so harsh :smile.gif: It is just missing some flare as a frame.
Also I added your pack to a 'recommended' packs section in my OP, hope thats ok.

Yeah, I admire Steelfeathers for her glowstone.
I tried to do the same with the lighting, but it doesn't work because of the actual texture beneath the frame. It's supposed to look more like it's bundled than framed, and I couldn't figure out how to mess with the lighting because of that. Don't worry, the harsher the better. Usually the most honest opinion is the harshest, which is perfect for improving upon!
Yeah, go ahead and recommend my pack to other users! Maybe someone will find it and actually post some criticism. :dry.gif: lol

yeah the comment ratio on the forums is strange. Mind you when I am in a hurry I rush through packs, browse and probably only comment on every 1 in 4 threads I read.
I haven't commented here recently, and I feel like a villain for not letting you know how much I enjoy this pack.
So! Allow me to rectify that egregious error:
I love switching into your pack after a day fooling around with mine. It's so bright and happy, and the textures are so perfectly and tightly executed, and it inspires me to go out and create more art.
My only complaint thus far (besides those already raised about the glowstone) is that the contrast on the wools feels a bit too harsh to me.

First of all, if you enjoy my pack, you're definitely not a villain to me! :biggrin.gif:
It's cool that the pack inspires you. Never thought I would achieve something like that.
As for wools, I think that's just our conflict in style. I like wools that have more of a fiber-like feeling to it, like linen or something. Might raise an eyebrow or two since we obtain it through sheep, but it doesn't matter too much.
I'm sorry that you dislike the wools, but as long as they don't have a tiling issue or anything like that, I'll probably be keeping them this way! :unsure.gif: Again, sorry.
And yes! I'll do a little more work on the glowstone before the next update. Promise. I also have more up my sleeve than that, at this point it's almost a definite fact that I'll be redoing stone and the ores.

I respect that, as its YOUR pack, not ours :smile.gif:
Completely unexpected update. Finished the cow mob texture, needs tweaking though so I'm not going to show a screenshot of that. Also added a bit more variance in the glowstone colors (As Dorian suggested), but since that's really minor I also won't show that.
HOWEVER
The unexpected part is that I re-did gravel. And it's a definite improvement if I say so myself.
Looks like that update will be coming sooner than later. Probably during the weekend/ a little before the weekend. We'll see!

VERY cool, and super unique (although does look a 'touch' like dusty's) I really enjoy it, some of the stones look a teeny bit flat though :smile.gif:

Really? I haven't looked at dusty's gravel in a while, so I don't really know. Still needs a bit of tweaking, I'll take care of that flat-ness hopefully :tongue.gif:
Oh wow, it does look a bit like his. I was planning on re-coloring a couple of stones, and now I realize that would make it look even more like his gravel! Wow. Not close enough to be an issue though, his spriting style is completely different from mine.
Last little update before I go to bed (It's 2:31 here, and I'm exhausted.)
Finished hoes! Actually, I finished them, didn't like them, and then changed them into Mallets! Everyone loves Mallets! Also, I included another item. Since my chickens are phoenixes, better give the egg texture a magic-like symbol or something. Pretty cool, man.
Thoughts? Or you can just say "that's awesome", and bump my thread. That works too. (If you actually do that, it'd be funny... but a little more than that will make me happy! lol)
EDIT: ACK! Photobombed by a cow! I did say that I finished their texture, this time it's actually perfected... but this is all I'm going to give you guys :wink.gif: Complete accident.
**** PANIC!!! Actually if you pop over to my pack I did something better than owls :smile.gif:
also I am not big on the mallets, they make no sense for tilling earth... but they do look cool?
Erm... uh... you see... it's original! :smile.gif:
It's simply because I dislike the idea of hoes from the sideview, because they always look like scythes or sickles... and then if I did the brilliant frontview hoes from Dokucraft, I'd have a bunch of dokufanboys on this thread in a second (Plus, they do look weird until you realize why they make sense)
I guess I just really like the idea of TENDERIZING THE LAND! It makes me smile to think of someone walking up to a plot of dirt and hitting it repeatedly with a mace.
...But I'll probably release alternates for those that actually must have the sideview hoes. Because I'm a nice guy and I enjoy doing things like that. The ones I had finished before were horrible though, so it's a good thing I finished these first!
hahaha that is golden 'tenderizing the land' that needs to be an internet meme.
I think I'm going to use it as a slogan or something... but then again, hoes currently aren't THAT important to the game right now. I don't really understand why there are different types you can make...
Hmmm... I was going to re-do pumpkin, but I don't know exactly how to do it. I might just have to make it a normal pumpkin, but I really wanted to turn it into some sort of stone object, since those are so much more fun to build with.
Runestone is nice, but it just isn't cutting it (Plus, I can't texture a runestone worth CRAP. I hate my current pumpkin texture, don't know what I was thinking when I created it.)
Looks like I'm going through and re-doing a lot of terrain, actually! The next update might be a complete overhaul of the terrain. Not very many major things, just re-doing stone and ores, and then possibly changing the shape of dirt, stuff like that. :tongue.gif:
It's too bad that my inspiration has gone down the crapper.
ALSO
I have updated the DL link to version 1.1.5, with all the things I have finished up to this point. Enjoy!

****ing owls.
Okay, it's official. In your texture pack, you need to somehow turn the chickens into owls. And you have fifteen minutes to do it. GO!
