Hello all, welcome to my new 32x RPG texture pack. It's still in progress, but I thought that I might start a thread to see if I could get feedback on the textures so far. I've completed 13/154 tiles in terrain.png (crap I just realized how many I have left ;p) and I am happy with all of them, except for stone slabs. Over the course of making these 13 textures I have recorded and posted the creation videos (for fun) on my Youtube channel.
These are my main inspirations:
- VeteranGoblin (YourCraft) - gave me the entire idea of making my own texture pack :3
- JohnSmith (John Smith)
- lithiumsound (Summerfields)
so far:
Creation videos: (all sped up to around 5000% of real speed (50x))
Can you tell me how to make a texturepack? Like a 32x or 64x cause i dont know how and I really wantto make a texturepack. Thanks! :smile.gif:
Well, download paint.net (getpaint.net). Install and open it. Now find your terrain.png located inside your minecraft.jar (or get a terrain.png from another pack), and drag it into the paint.net window. If it's a 16x pack, go to image > canvas size and put the size to 512 for 32x, or 1024 for 64x. click ok then select the textures (be precise) and make sure up in the top left quality is pixelated. Then make the textures fit in the new canvas. now you can get started drawing - select a texture and press ctrl+n and ok. use ctrl+v to paste the texture in the new document and start from there. add dark/light shades, make different shapes, experiment. when you've finished a texture copy it back into terrain.png and save it. put that inside a zip folder, and place that in your /.minecraft/texturepacks/ folder.
It didnt help me cause i dont have 7-zip :sad.gif: is there a normal .zip download for it but i didnt try to download it yet cause im thinking its 7-zip please reply back and help :/

download winrar to be able to open zip files.
And you can't use mspaint because it can't handle transparency, mean you wouldn't be able to see through glass etc
Also edited wood and torches - can't do metal blocks tonight.
Wow looking great im gonna watch this btw if you find out how can please make aether support? i love that mod and this texture pack so far :smile.gif: keep up the good work!
EDIT: Btw got done watching your vids on you making them and i really like the first dirt you had, its ok if you dont change it im just saying you did a great job on both i just like gravely dirt more than smooth dirt ^-^
