A texture pack made with RPG Maker VX. the textures are done in 32X32, you'll either need the fix, or re-size them to 16X16 (they still look alright re-sized).
Grass and dirt on the terrain.png is looking a tad bit disappointing there mate. I love the ores though they look a tad faded or something rustic. Thumbs up.
I've gotta say I love how the ores look, and what I think is cobblestone in the upper left area :biggrin.gif: Will this need a texture patch when it's finished and I've downloaded it? :L
yeah, cuz its 32 x 32, anything higher than 16 x 16 needs a patcher.
Alright, I'll take the comments into consideration. I have having some issues deciding on what I should do with some of the textures.
RPG Maker VX doesn't support multi-directional treasure chests, so I am left with having to try and make up what chests will look like. I am sure with a little creative tweeking I'll get it down. Other things, I am not even sure how it looks yet, I haven't gotten around to actually testing it very far.
I personally didn't think the grass looked like sand in game play, but that could just be me. On a side note, you could re-size the image to 16X16 and it'd still look pretty alright. I am working with this size because it's easier for me to work with.
I was torn on what I should do with gravel and am still trying to decide what I'll do with that. RPG Maker VX has some nice doors, but they don't fit the entire 32X32 grid, it has a small gap at the top of the door about 2 or 3 pixels wide. I am unsure if this gap is going to bother people or if I should doctor the door up to fill the slight gap.
OK this is going to be most likely the last update I do for the textures for the RPG Maker VX Minecraft texture pack. I think I have gone as far as I can using the RPG Maker VX resources to texture minecraft.
Changes:
Mossy Cobblestone now has vines instead.
Wood block changed to more natural look.
Ladder changed to something with more depth
Tracks changed to something nicer looking
Added custom water and lava (looks nice)
Added in new glass
Added in new ice
There may be more. Look at it on your free time. Please feel free to re-mix and alter these textures anyway you desire. If you end up finding something good to replace the cactus with, please let me know.
