Being a big fan of the Gerudoku line of texture packs and remixes, I though it would be a shame for the Aether to go without being seen in its own glorious 32x32 RPG textures.

Special thanks to the Gerudoku Alternates Gallery for many of the extended textures to recolor or modify when needed.

This re-texture, I have to say, is amazing. I think the moas look awesome, the items look awesome. I'd say, this is awesome. Cpt. awesome is awesome.

After a few people asked me, I've put up an alternate Inventory GUI with the accessory slots marked.

Apparently, the alternate inventory DL was broken. I've changed the link and it seems to work now.

wow this is amazing.

I'm going to start working on a set of Aether leaf blocks for fast graphics later tonight. All of these alt textures will eventually end up in the main Texture pack DL.

If you are new at the whole Texture Pack thing, you must also Download McPatcher and Patch your Minecraft Folder.

Its not a texture pack for the game proper. Its a texture pack for the Aether Collaboration Mod using GeruDoku-style textures. If you're using the Aether mod, you need to replace the mods default "aether" and "armor" folders with the ones provided.

Yes, I tried it too but it still remains 16x16 or the screen turns black

You need to install the HD patcher BEFORE you install any mods. Or, better, alongside it, as it gives you the option to install the mods for you while it patches the minecraft.jar. More instructions on that can be found in the HD patcher thread.

I see that the Dokucraft: The Saga continues is making good use of some of these item and mob textures in their customizer.



Anyways, I'll get around to adding the fast graphics leaf blocks soon. Photoshop keeps crashing on me.

Is this patched to work with the new aether update?

I'm not a big fan of the Doku's RPG and it's ripoffs/remixes/edits (DokusRPG in the other hand; sexy!)

But I'll take a look anyway.

I've now updated the textures for The Aether 1.02. Alternate textures are included in the download. Just look for the Alternate Textures.zip in the aether folder.
