Hey there minecrafters and starwars fans. I created an old star wars texture pack when my skills of making minecraft things werent too good, i then made another one but lost all my progress so i gave up, im here now to give you guys a texture pack that will be made to completion. I put a lot more detail into the items seeing as the last pack was 16x.
Heres some of what ive got so far.
For the weapons, a saber bokken made sense to me as it is the only wooden melee weapon in star wars i could think of, for the stone sword i was tied between a vibrosword and the smuggler sword, please can i have some feedback on that. For the iron and gold swords i chose red and blue, because iron and gold have similiar strengths and on a server i play on the gold and iron are equal. For the diamond sword which is the most powerful i chose a purple lightsaber because jedi and sith can have purple lightsabers so i thought it wasa good mix. For the inventory screen i thought i would make it look imperial, so i used DOKU's basic theme, and edited it a bit, so credit too DOKU for the basics of that,i think it looks ok. For the blaster is is just a simple star wars blaster pistol like the one used by han solo, and i was going to make the ammo just a red laser but then i thought people wont load it up as a laser so i made some sort of ammo capsule too store the laser in. Next is just the texture pack selection photo, which is just a photo of stars and a golden SWU logo for Star Wars Universe minecraft server. After that is the imperial looking crafting screen, once again Doku's Dark pack was used as the initial template for this. After that are a few blocks, the Mob spawner which is just a bit futuristic, then there is the glass which i think looks quite modern, and then i tried to make the ladder look kind of metallic as metal ladders are more dominant than wood ones in the star wars universe. After that is the hatch thing, which is like a safe password lock thing, which i thought looked pretty cool. After that is the redstone torch and the redstone repeater, the repeater is once again a recoloured version of Doku's High texture pack, so i give a lot of credit to doku on these points. After that is the actual blaster fire, which is pretty simple, then there is the two sun as seen on tatooine in episode 6, which i think is pretty cool, and then the moon is just a basic bright moon, i didnt go for the death star seeing as how my server is set in the old republic era and the death star wasnt created until the new republic era. After that is the boat, cart and sign which are all recoloured versions of Doku's high texture pack, so lots more credit to him for the originals. If you have any feedback i would be glad as it always helps. Im also desperatly in the need of ideas for blocks, as i dont have a clue for them, also ideas for the minecarts, boats, tools, ingots etc. would be great.
maybe catus could be like a tongue from the sand beast (just an idea)
Well,it could even be the sand worm itself, that would work really well although i dont know about harvesting, plus i might just leave cactus as castus, it makes appearances in star wars.
can you skip the purple lightsaber and just add a green one.only reason a purple lightsaber was added to the lore for the movies was cause samuel jackson wanted one.I think you should use the well known saber colors.bluesaber=swordsman and green=powerful with the force.if there are no green sabers then what will the powerful force wielding jedi use?

Sorry about the lack of work, ive been busy with my star wars server, but now everything has calmed down ive worked on it a bit more. I will post updates soon.
Thanks, ive completed all the gui now such as the furnace screen etc. Ive been thinknig about doing a quick presentation video, all i need to do now is some things in terrain, somethings in items, mobs, pictures and armor!

Yeh, good idea. I would have to make the other tools the same colour though.
