Hello. I am currently in the process of making a new HD texture pack. I have nearly finished, and have started making the water and lava animations. I have, however, encountered a few problems with the flowing animation (either custom_water_flowing.png or custom_lava_flowing.png). Such problems include the flowing animation to 'skip' (not running smoothly) and not tiling correctly.
Does anyone know how to make the animation work? What are you actually supposed do to the file? Do you put squares of the correct size (relative to the image size) in order of what you want it to look like? Or do you make a 'flimstrip' (so the image 'runs through', as opposed to going from one square to the next)?
As such, I kindly seek assistance on the matter, whether it be a tutorial or otherwise. I also understand this is a bit hard to take in (for it's very hard to explain), but feel free to ask me to clarify.
