I am making my first texture pack ever, it being 8-bit. I have some questions about placements in the terrain, because I can't figure out what some of the stuff is or why it's there.
- What is the grass looking thing to the left of the double chest face?
- Where is the redstone wiring?
- What is that blue square to the right of the yellow flower?
- Where is the texture for the shaft of the piston?
Also, I am making anything that terrain.png sets out as black and white to black and white in my texture pack too, is that ok?
As for the spare grass, it doesn't actually serve a purpose AFAIK. I could be wrong though.
The blue square next to the flowers isn't needed either.
The transparent part under the redstone wiring is for an overlay over the redstone wire. A lot of texture packs had decorative redstone wiring, and since notch made it fade with the length of the current (Hence when it's greyscale), it wouldn't work right.
