You're far too kind to me. I tried to base it off of Calabarte's work. He's so detailed putting it into 16x was almost a joke, but I am still pleased.

The direction I see myself going with on this pack is to make two packs, one for exploration, faithful to classic mine craft, and one for construction, having many textures altered for your building pleasure. So this would be the exploration version of the pumpkin, where the construction version would be a crafted light.

Oh, and I'm gonna start working on your potentially smoothed lava right.... now.

Ok, I'll need some input on which one you all prefer. The technique I used to smooth out the flowing animation keeps me from letting the background move with the surface of the lava; it creates a nasty strobe effect on some of the pixels. I've got two other options here for you, one where the background moves faster than the surface, and one where the background is shifty. Let me know which is more pleasing to your eye.

Of course, lava opinions require hands on experience, so here's the downloads.

I was about even between the two. I think I liked the shifty version cause it made the lava seem more viscous.

That design was the only one that really worked. I must've gone through 4 or 5 different designs before I got pissed and tried seeing how you did it.

On the bright side, I made a couple incandescent light bulbs if I ever need them.

I do like the new lava "shifty". Flowing lava still looks a little odd to me. But then again I had to get used to everything when I switched to your pack. I'm sure it will grow on me

Seems like a dubious compliment, but I'll take it. So what should I take care of next? I want to fix the toolbar up at some point. That thing has gone from, hey, its pretty cool, to butt fugly. But I also want to progress towards completion. I also want to do new flowers and shrooms. And get working on the 1.8 additions too.

Maybe I'll just build tomorrow. It is my birthday, after all.

PSS: I would request an edit to the piston texture-- the gears feel too blurry to me, and perhaps just a little bit lop-sided.

Glowstone? No, mine was done by the time yours came about, I'm pretty sure. Any inspiration for that came from doku.

I guess I can see the piston problem. Gears really don't translate into 16x at all. I think I've got an idea for that though. :wicked grin:

Oh no, partying takes place tomorrow, and not much of one at that. So many of my friends are busy heading to college. However, in a couple weeks... they'll all be unpacked and ready for a good time. So if I make a post professing my deep and undying love for you, don't get too excited. It's the alcohol talking.

Which is not to say i don't have a deep and undying love for you, I would just never post it on... oh ****.
