Whenever I download a texture pack and install it, the mojang comes up it the texture pack form then the screen goes black. Dont know if this is a problem with the texture pack itself or with my comp.

Check to see if it is 32x, 64x, or higher. If it is you need to download the hd patcher and patch minecraft.
