Does anyone know how I could just change the crosshairs(middle of screen dot, lol) in my texture pack? I like my pack but the crosshair is hardly visible.
what you do is go into the icon.png file and in the left top corner the crosshair is there, might be little hard to see, im making my own little texture pack just changing things off of default :biggrin.gif:
I found the icons.png file, but when i open it all that i see are the hearts and breath counters... =/
If you are using a program that supports layers, create a new layer and fill it black, then drop the new layer below the original one. The cross hair is white so it is hard to see on a white background.

EDIT- I also tried to modify the icons.png in paint, but now there is a large white square behind crosshairs/hearts/air counters. lol!!!

If you are using a program that supports layers, create a new layer and fill it black, then drop the new layer below the original one. The cross hair is white so it is hard to see on a white background.
Use photoshop, or paint.net or gimp. If you use normal paint you get white boxes around them.
You need software that lets you make transparent backgrounds.
