Anyone get this working on a mac? I'm able to load other HD textures fine, but this doesn't work at all. 256x gives me glitched out textures while 128x & 64x don't make it past the loading screen. I use mcpatcher. Whatsup?
edit: nevermind, i sorted it out. thank you so much for this texturepack. your time and effort is VERY appreciated.
This is an AMAZING texture pack. I've searched so much for a HD default pack. I've seen pics of the DefaultEx x256 but I can't seem to get it to work. I can run other x256 packs so it's strange... when I opened the pack I noticed the x256 didnt have the "pack.png" file [pictures when your switching packs] like the x128 one has.. maybe someone can send me their x256 0.8 pack? Because i know to appreciate this pack you really need x256... any help would be awesome!!! :laugh.gif:

The pack.png file is not needed for it to run, and this texture pack just doesn't have one. Your problem is something else. How much RAM do you have, and are you allocating extra to Minecraft?
Well I've got 2800MB(minus 500MB for windows) it's 1200MB Physical RAM & 1700MB Virtual RAM(my laptop uses hard drive for RAM)
I've done a little bit of reading & I think the Virtual RAM can only do so much depending on my processor (2Ghz single core AMD) I might try adding more Virtual RAM..
I've tried up to 2100MB on Java.
Using the Java Runtime-Parameters: -Xincgc -Xmx2100M
The 128x pack works but the 256x pack image is grayed out & wouldn't load..
I just read more about Virtual Memory. I have a Flash drive I can use for virtual memory. Since Flash drives are faster than regular hard drives. I'll let ya know if it helps.
I wouldn't try that. If you really only have 1.2GB of RAM, I don't think 256x will work for you. Stick with the 128x if it works, though I'm surprised you don't run into issues with that as well.
I run Sphax & a few other x256 packs. Gonna try Photorealism too. Plus I'm running Yogbox with 40 mods[ milenaire npc villages mod & real-time sleep mod & a few other performance hogs] with smooth playing 20FPS[which isn't great]. (this an old laptop too, nothing special about it) I use Gamebooster. The 128&256 packs didnt work well at first until i turned on Open GL in the game settings.
Please help! When I download the 64x64, then I use HD texture fix, then when I play minecraft it's just up to the loading screen and just freeze there! Please help! Same problem with 128x128 but the 256x256 works but my computer can't handle it. Please help.

Texture packs will work with mods :tongue.gif: . The only question is if the hd patcher conflicts with a mod, which probably wont happen
