New! Check out 42and19's awesome article about this pack: "Enchanted brings a vibrancy and richness to minecraft that, in my opinion, has not been achieved before with any other pack."
After much anticipation, I'm finally releasing this pack to the public.
What started as a Lord of the Rings style texture pack has evolved into a Victorian fantasy, ala Beauty and the Beast (but without the dancing candle sticks). Expect two different version in the future, one light and ornate (Beauty), and the other dark, ruinous, and brooding (Beast).
I know some of you really had your heart set on an alchemy themed pack, and I have good news for you too-- this pack can also function perfectly well as an alchemy pack! Or an RPG pack. Or whatever you want to play it as. That's because, for the most part, I stuck to generic interpretations of the textures, so that they jive with almost any creation.
As of right now, this is just a test release. As you can clearly see, I still have some textures left to do, not to mention all the items and mobs that go along with a texture pack. The purpose of releasing it in this unfinished state is to get feedback from YOU, the texture pack consumer. So reply, comment, review-- hell, make a rap about it for all I care. Just be sure to try it out and let me know what you think.
Who knows? This pack might actually turn into something good.
You must have the correct version of the HD patch installed in order to eliminate the visual glitches associated with any 32x pack!
Without the correct version of the patch (aka, one that matches your version of minecraft), the nether will become water, your gold bricks will be on fire, your compasses won't work, etc. None of these things are caused by this pack.
If you fail to read the above warning, I will likely ignore you!

NOTE: Most of the wools (except for white, black, gray, lit gray, and pink) will be remade into some sort of wallpaper/carpeting material.
Dungeon-style nether!
Sandstone chamber.
Spiked sticky pistons. Because I like them that way, damnit.
Everything I've done so far. Obsidian and lava are placeholders from Lost Valley, one of my other packs.
From Survival island!! Couldn't help myself-- this shot just looked too cool. :tongue.gif:

This Texture Pack is Amazing!! Do you happen to know when you will finish the tools though? From the look of the other tools you have made i think the picks will be amazing!
Any keep up the good work!
The new chest's look great! All that fuss for what? Awesome chests!
I always seem to miss many good pages when I am sleeping -.-
Well the new chest structure may have worked out okay for this pack, but it screws over my Doll House pack, because the chests there are supposed to look like drawers....last time I checked, the tops don't pop off of drawers when you open them.

I can't really give you a time estimate on the tools, I'm afraid. Homework is piling up on me AND I have to finish updating my other three packs for 1.8. But as long as you guys keep posting, I will continue to be motivated to work like a madman on this pack. <D
PS: Could you please delete the post where you quoted the entire OP? It makes the page take longer to load. Thanks.
Not done mine yet in protest over losing the standard size which worked so well with other blocks. :sad.gif:
I was wondering how you were going to deal with it. Looks like you're going the denial route. :biggrin.gif:
Although, I have to admit, the size decrease is causing me problems as well with Doll House, since the details on the chest rely on very precise pixel placement. -__-
I know the downsizing can screw up existing textures, but for new ones it shouldn't be a problem, and I like it. idk why, but I do. that tiny space makes me happy

Like you said, if you're making a new pack it shouldn't be an issue. Trying to make existing textures work with the new structure, on the other hand....
Okay guys, here's the deal. There seems to be a short in the wires going to my screen, because for the last few days the display has been jumping and glitching off and on. But today, it seems, the glitching doesn't want to settle down, which means I will be unable to work on texturing until it does. It also means that I have to go take my computer in to get fixed tomorrow, and who knows how long that will take. *sobs in a corner because she will miss the 1.8 release*
I will still try to do the vines sometime tonight (if I get some good luck and the glitching settles down for a little while) but I'm not going to be able to do the marathon of texturing I had planned. :[
I love the new changes for your pack, and I am sorry but I am using your chest template and pulling it apart to work out how the **** it goes... 3d chests are cool, but its a lot of effort just to texture it.
What are your thinking for vines? cause I was thinking a cool ivy for mine, but didn't want to do it if you wanted Ivy for your victorian feel :smile.gif:

Sorry man, I already have dibs on ivy. :smile.gif:
Good luck with figuring out the 3-D chest! It's a ball-buster.
well I am just reverse engineering yours, nearly have it.
OK Ivy is yours, all good :smile.gif: I think I will go with my Idea of hanging/climbing moss then. There is SO much to do.... gah.
Oh! I just had an idea-- you should do spanish moss. You know that creepy, eerie stuff you find hanging from those gnarled old trees in Florida? Or, er, wait, you're in Australia...
Okay, just google spanish moss and you'll see what I mean. It would fit perfectly with your pack.

love the idea of that. just have to roll these couple of graphic design jobs, finish installing a computer and then back to texture packing (assuming I can stop myself from playing dead island and minecraft 1.8 hahahha)
Any keep up the good work!

Retired StaffLol, I actually thought about that before, but for some reason I kept thinking that the chest texture was on the terrain png....
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll have to try it.

I remember you wondering earlier about where which textures were used in the mushrooms.
