+1 to that. Mossy cobble and something about bookshelves doesnt seem right. I will have a more in depth look at it later on and try and be more constructive than a hurr durr song.
i hate to rag on your trees again but i really think the pine leaves need some tweaking. they look pretty nice but something feels a bit off. to be more specific, i think you should try either making them less straight (possibly add more variety in direction, or adding some more transparency in there, maybe even both. just my opinion though. also, the chest is excellent.

RPG, like a mixture of Johnsmith and Glimmar's steampunk.
Huh. You know, I didn't think about it that way, but you're right.
Although I AM hoping that people will eventually say "so-and-so's pack looks like Steelfeathers Alchemy Pack" rather than the other way around. :wink.gif:
Woohoo! Download this weekend...awesomesauce. Can I be a pain/cheeky and ask that you include the current mossy cobble and the green chest as alternative textures. I love the new chest and the old chest so having both would be marvellous, and that mossy cobble is perfect for a little village I had in mind :biggrin.gif:

Sure thing! :smile.gif:
I also have not one, but TWO alternate iron doors I'm including as well.
Well, no matter how you design and end up with this texture pack, I've already found the designs interesting and am definitely gonna try it out since I've used most of your texture packs and always had a good experience using it. I guess for reaching middle ground, a bit tedious to do since most people have different preferences. (That's why there's alternates so no worries!) :biggrin.gif:

Yeah, I anticipate that there will be a LOT of alternates...I can never do just one of any texture. XP
So what do you guys think: Red bed, purple bed, or quilted?
I think quilted would be more in keeping with the style period, plus I've never seen a really good quilted bed texture, but at the same time...ooooh purple bed. I'm a bit sick of seeing red beds tbh, I think most of the texture packs I've used have had red ones. So what I'm saying (in far too many words) is purple or quilted :tongue.gif:
ok so i love the iron door in this pack, again, very jealous.
a few critiques. The grass, feels too much like the old doku rpg grass, I like the styling for your pack, but would like to see your own unique take on this.
The iron ore block is good, but I think its your weakest ore block. It is missing something, the sheen of it catching any light in the cave or perhaps the shadow of it being a vein (as it looks) in the rock, all in all it seems a little flat against gold and diamond etc.
I hate to say it but I almost preferred the old pine, but thats just me.
i LOVE your torches *runs to steal great ideas
and your tall grass is great. I may look into editing mine a bit after seeing yours.
oh and trapdoors and furnaces are amazing.
the best of this pack though by far, is your regular foliage. WOW. so much ****ing clarity and yeah so many gaps and holes, it is perfect, dont change it.

-I'm still working on how to make the grass less Doku-ish. We'll see how it goes. :\ (...hate how his pack managed to monopolize a certain 'style'....now when anyone uses that style, they label it 'doku')
-...you no like fixed pine?? Any particular reason why? I personally like the new one better...
-More shine on the iron ore, coming up!
-Wow, never thought anyone would be that into my leaves! *trollface*

I'm leaning towards quilted myself. And ditto for being annoyed at the plethora of red beds! Makes me wonder if red is the 'it' color for the minecraft community...

Retired StaffI'll try making the moss vines darker.
What about the bookshelves doesn't seem right?
i think it is perhaps that I dont tend to have a candle on every shelf, and they seem a touch too busy?
the mossy cobblestone is growing on me the more i look at it.
also i love your sand, super jealous.

Retired StaffGah!
Well, you can't please everyone. Some people love that candle, some people hate it. But 'busy'? Hmm....have to look into that...
Haha. Growing. It's funny cause they're vines, get it? ****** slapped for lame pun*
As for the sand: :DDDD
(I love making people jealous, btw. I must just be an awful person. Muwahahaha...)
Thank you for the compliements.
But...
Why is it that some people hate this stuff and some people love it?! I can't seem to reach a middle ground...
*Goes back to redo mossy cobble for the third time*
Lol. Thanks!
Trying that out when I get off work. (see previous responses)
Thanks for sticking with me through all the goof-ups, though. I'm frankly shocked you guys are still interested enough to comment.
