Wow, that's pretty snazzy.
How you doin' on those 1.8 textures, steel? :tongue.gif: I did the dungeon bricks, no moss or cracked yet, but they look decent (imo). I 'd do the rest but I need to wait for Caduceus to get online (i.e tomorrow) to do more stuff.
and dorian, how could you NOT use a jukebox? Cat is such an awesome song.

cause I generally listen to final fantasy soundtracks while I am playing (that and its a waste of a diamond :tongue.gif: )

Which FF song or soundtrack do you find yourself listening to most? I like Dancing Mad the most...The Black Mages' ver. is almost like Progressive Metal.

When I get around to doing mobs, I'll probably make them look like the 'hat man'. If you don't know what that is, go look up ghosts, shadow people, and demons. :3

I shouldn't have taken your challenge, because I went to bed right after I accepted. *derp*
Anyway, I haven't done any 1.8 textures yet (for this pack, at least), but I'll have all the ones we know what they are done by the 8th.
The hatches look great, I've never used them for wall decoration, my homes usually don't get to that point of finishedness. :tongue.gif:
The new water looks good too, I didn't see a problem with it, but I do remember a long time ago you were going to change it.
I'll be sad and happy about the old stone going, it was quite good in my opinion, but it's your choice *imagines Steel raging and the opposite opinion*.
I really like the design of the music box, the top of it does.. things.. to me. :tongue.gif:
What kind of things? :biggrin.gif:
Anyway, I changed the water because it was bothering me. It may not have bothered you, but it bothered me, so it had to go.
And I think (hope) you'll like the new stone just as much-- or maybe more-- than the old one. But even if you don't, fear not-- the bumpy stone shall remain an alternate.
...And on that note, I really need to get myself set up on the minecraft customizer site. I've got a good handful of alternates so far.
Okay, I'm in the process of setting myself up on the customizer. It doesn't seem to want to save the changed descriptions, though, which is pissing me off...
>:sad.gif:
EDIT: Fixed. I'm now on minecraftcustomizer.net. :3
I find enough diamonds to make the essential tools and a leftover one for the jukebox. :tongue.gif:
Ah indeed. The problem is I use diamonds as much as I find them, and If not they are there for when I do mega builds and want three of every tool for it hahaha.

congrats!!!
also, X has the single most annoying main character of any FF game, bar none.

True. But I loved the plot and the battle style. I think I'm one of the only people on the face of the earth who actually likes having turns in battle. :3

gosh no, I love turn based (HOMM?) hahah. But V - X was all turn based in FF.
Nah, I strongly prefer turn-based battles in my RPGS too.
I have to say, the noteblock is a great texture. The jukebox top really reminds me of the pistons. Not sure if going in the Steampunk direction is what you want from your pack, though, so I'll hold off on an opinion until you say one way or the other. Brass gears are *very* steampunk.
You mentioned something about wondering how you were going to do the tools. I have to say, Lost Valley has my favorite diamond sword texture of any pack I've tried. It's the orientation that makes it work. I have faith that you'll show similar creativity in this pack.

The top isn't steampunky-- it's an old fashioned music box. :tongue.gif:
I'm glad you like it, though. :biggrin.gif: And thanks for the vote of support concerning the tools.
I think the iron block looks amazing, but for the people who don't like it, maybe something like this could be an alt. Some sort of solid wrought iron design. If you look at the picture, there's a 'G' shape. If you did something like what was in the image, you could make an 'S' for Steelfeathers.
Another idea I had is possibly a clockwork iron block, sort of like how you have a gear on the side of pistons and more recently the jukebox.
Side note: I love your texture pack! Everything looks amazing with your pack, and I couldn't see myself using any others. I can't wait to see what you eventually do with the weapons and armor.
my music box, yeah i really do need to. oops. I never use them so I don't think about it.

Yes, but-but-but it's not ready yet!

It will be up in a little while, as soon as I finish updating the rest of the OP and putting up the regular download on mediafire.

Retired StaffAdded jukebox, new water, new stone texture (and accompanying ores), alt mossy cobble, alt trapdoor, improve jack o'lantern, improved sandstone.
I know it's not a lot, but I wanted to get the new stone to you guys asap. :biggrin.gif:
Sorry for the crap drawing.
I thought maybe iron blocks could look like that, rusty and old and cool. I would so build my house out of iron blocks if they looked like that.
The idea of the iron blocks you have now are okay, just I would never use them.
Ever.

Retired StaffThat's a cool idea for a texture, but it doesn't fit with the feel of my pack.
