I'm more of a leprechaun man myself though. See I have a very Irish name, so I tell everyone I'm Irish, but I'm actually Scotch-Irish. In other words, Scottish. So, in my quest to become Irish, I eat leprechauns, in hope that I can absorb their magical, Irish-ness.

CONTEST RESULTS

First and foremost, thank you very much to everyone who entered. I never imagined that so many of you would be so enthusiastic-- it really warms my heart when I look over the very long list of all the contestants who entered (sometimes more than once).

While I would like to say that each of you wins first place, I can't make almost a dozen alternate textures. But keep in mind that I appreciate and enjoy the effort you guys put into your dream homes. :biggrin.gif:

First (to build suspense), the honorable mentions!

Congratulations, Santairo! You not only survived the burning logs raining down around your head, you came back to do it all a second time.




Next up, let's get a round of applause for imnumberfour, who built a very cute little cottage on a very ~Enchanted~ floating landscape.

Although this entry was inspired by the sketch of another artist, Foozinator did an amazing job of fleshing it out and making it into a beautiful country cottage that fits perfectly with the theme of the pack. Both the outside architecture of the house and the inside decoration are superb, but what really made this home-sweet-home the winner was the effort involved in building it. Thank you Foozinator for falling multiple times to your death in order to bring us this masterpiece!


Don't forget to tell me what alternate texture you'd like me to make. :wink.gif:

Everyone submitted amazing entries; I wasn't expecting to win, though it was hella fun building it anyway.

Yummy yummy prize... There are two options that I can't decide between:

It seems like every house I do, I use a checkerboard pattern for at least one floor, so more options in that regard would be amazing. From either the top of the furnace, noteblock or the iron block, would it be possible to create a texture that complements the top texture of one of the following: stone halfblocks / sandstone / single chest?

Or instead of the above, an alternate trap door with a similarly lovely metal scrollwork window that the wooden doors have would be just as awesome.


I'll leave it at your discretion as to which you'd rather do.
