You could select a few people you trust to help you, I suppose.
Yep, I think what you should do is take the download links down while you are away. That might be the best option sadly.

To tell you the truth, this whole thing has made me sick to my stomach. This forum just feels so toxic now-- I can't even be happy about the absurd number of reviews I have.
What the admins are saying is essentially like a cop saying to a passerby who comes up to them to tell them that some guy is raping the girl around the corner, 'I'm sorry, I can't stop it unless she comes up to me herself.'
IT'S SO RIDICULOUS.
...actually, what they're really saying is, 'go **** yourselves, we don't give a **** about you-- we're much more concerned with covering our own asses than listening to your suggestions and coming to a compromise.'
Moral of the story: I'm definitely taking down the download link when I go. And the terrain png, in case someone tries to get sneaky. Anything more than that...we'll see how I feel tomorrow morning.
Since my comments about the ore blocks sparked a discussion about how there's no pleasing us, I have to say:
I really like both those textures.
The only reason I was commenting about the diamond block as I did, and I really should have stated this at the start of said comment, was because you said you felt it was missing something. It's an awesome texture, I love the feel of it and how it fits with the whole feel of the pack. The same goes for the pipe organ iron block; they're both awesome. I was offering a suggestion since to me, when someone says "It feels like it's missing something" I hear "creative person's tunnel vision causing a problem." I was offering advice from one creative person who understands that feeling to another, as a mere idea, meant to help nudge you out of what sounded like a small artist's block.
The only reason I want an iron-colored alternate of the pipe organ texture is because I pixel art sometimes and it would let me use your amazing pack with that.
I have to compliment you on the sheer originality of making organ pipes your iron block. Like your wood door, the originality of this pack is what keeps me coming back and active in the discussion.

Because when you use a stone color that's totally original it probably looks stupid.
Honestly....I don't think you guys/gals need worry this much about it. If you are gone for a week or two, then some asshat will get to try and present a pack that's not theirs for that long. They have the opportunity to do so at will on other sites now anyway. It's the way of the world I suppose, to be an asshat when you can for some people.

If you don't tell a guy "No," that's not enough for consent. If you tell a guy "Yes," that's consent. Nothing else is consent.
As distasteful as it is to me to compare rape with theft of any kind... What the new rule comes down to is, "You have to say no, otherwise we can't tell if there's permission/consent" when what it should be is "If you don't clearly and unambiguously give permission/consent, we are going to assume there isn't any."
This is a concept called "Enthusiastic consent," and I am a firm believer that enthusiastic consent is an excellent model for many kinds of human interactions. This whole quagmire with permissions would be easily solved, I believe, if we simply said "Yes means yes, and anything other than yes means no." Because that's how you should approach consent for anything, from sex to using someone's boat texture.
