I got a few of the post Office, but the areas I really wanted to grab has been wiped up in some sort of glitch, so that one will have to wait. :c My Village is so hard to get into a position where this pack can truly show it's colours (I've got so many trees :U).
Something I noticed the most while walking around was the flowers, after using small shrubs and clumps of flowers it's odd to have a single flower (that tips it's hat to the original) again.

Brings beauty back into minecraft.
Definitely my favourite texture pack. I shall use it for many years. (thats if you keep updating it)
I hope to see some more Aether textures and hope you will be on the ball for 1.8.

Don't worry, I'm far too excited about 1.8 not to make textures for it! The way things are looking right now, this pack will be around for a good long time. *crosses fingers*
As for making textures-- I do have a tablet, but I only use it for the larger scale art I post to deviantart. For making textures I just use a mouse. :wink.gif:

Sure. My name is Steelfeathers there too. Just be warned-- my best stuff is real media (actual paint, pencils, etc) which is not up on deviantart. I'm still relatively new to making digital art.

Aether torches will definitely be included with the next aether texture update. When will the next aether texture update be? Probably at the same time as the next overall update. Maybe.

And on a completely unrelated note: Someone made a let's play using my pack! Wahoo!
I'd like to suggest you try removing the middle part of the "case" so that the diamond block has a lot more diamond visible and the black/gray is only around the borders. See how it looks to you. I don't know if you'll think it looks better, but if you feel like something's missing my first thought is "Maybe it's missing diamond."
I'd also appreciate an iron-colored alternate for the iron blocks. Love the pipe organ idea, though.

Okay, so for the next update I'm thinking: Ore blocks (gold, diamond, and iron), more pattterned wools, more aether textures, maybe some gui, perhaps even an alt cobble. Plus some basic fixes to existing textures.
But I have to admit I'm stumped for what to do for the gold block. I want to do something besides another swirly decorative pattern. Any suggestions? I thought about making it one of those gold statues you'd see on side tables in mansions, but I'm not sure how I'd swing that...

I'll try out your suggestion, but I think it has plenty of diamond at the moment-- those little bumps are diamonds too, so there's more than just a diamond background.
And not to pick on you specifically, but I just have to exclaim-- 'there's no pleasing you guys!' When I try to make a generic (but still nicely done) texture, people say it's ordinary and overdone. But when I do something outside the box, they turn around and say they want something more normal!
At this point, I really just want to throw up my hands and do what I feel like doing and hope people like it anyway.
It's not, I was suspicious it might get removed because it's so short it looks spammish(new word :cool.gif:?). But yeah to expand on it, I feel if you are pressuring yourself to make a texture pack to what we want to see you are severely disabilitating your creativity, I feel constructive criticism is always needed, but if you're actually feeling pressured into content which will be constructively criticised then you're being soo silly! Do what you want because it's fun and because you like it :smile.gif:
I feel you might have slightly overreacted to what people were saying but yeah... Listen to constructive criticism on your already completed workdon't listen to people trying to make you change it to something they like. If you have enough talent in creating texture packs, people will like it (which you do, and I for one can say I love your texture packs). Don't listen to people trying to tell you to create essentially a personal texture pack for them.
I think your frustration explains why alts are so popular :biggrin.gif:
