I had to register just to say thank you, Steelfeathers, for updating this texture pack. This is the only pack I've loved, and I was checking almost daily (well, at least weekly) after 1.4.2 hoping for a new version (even my wife knows I was thrilled when the new version was posted). It's been nice settling back in.
I've always liked the wrought iron look (ladder, glass, glowstone, etc.). Nethar wart is another one I can think of that I really love. It's usually the animals or villagers that turn me off texture packs, so I'm ok with basic changes or lack of new textures (I like the spider differentiation). The only block that I'm not a fan of is the enchanting table, the transparency on the legs make me feel like part of the texture isn't loading. There's just not quite enough of a three dimensional effect to the legs to make them feel solid.
I like the new cobblestone, and thank you for keeping differentiation between stone and cobblestone. The new diamond block looks good in game (throw up a beacon pyramid with iron, gold, and emerald and it fits in nicely). The purples are nice, and fit the theme well.
Does look rpg, lol but more of a DnD vibe then any game system really.
Edit: You think your going to make one for the modded versions of mindcraft? Or have you, love your texturepacks.
We have started several projects back in M1.2.5 but they kinda fizzled. Currently my main goal is to see Forestry 100% covered by the Enchanted pack, as it's the only mod which really fits this texture pack well. If you look at some of my comments here, you'd see that I have done a fair bit of work.
This is a very nice pack. I just don't like the letters/font. They seem too mushed and buttons seem hard to read. Sorry if I'm not making any sense. Love the textures though!
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I used to have an open mind, but then my brain fell out.

The font will be changed shortly. I found a much better one. ^^

Very glad to hear this. :-) Was here to post the very thing same.
One question, since you have the customize would i be possible to add the old fonts as a option?
I really love this pack. Used to use one called Geekpack but that died out last year so this is my new #1.
I keep trying to add fonts to the customizer, but they always get cut off. No idea why. Go complain to the customizer people-- my own complaining resulted in 0 improvement.
Finally back in business, after 6 months! oh yeah!
Steelfeathers, to be honest there are some aspects of this texture pack that I don't really like. The first are the purple buttons which seem to clash with the overally feel of the pack, especially some of the furniture like the crafting table. Also, the fonts seem out of place. Do you mind if I start off my own project on Moddb to create alternate textures as an adjunct? you will still retain the credits overall, as the most I can do is claim partial credit ONLY for mod support.
can some make it so we can use it on "FTB" mod pack?
Maybe. We've managed to produce partial Railcraft and Forestry support, although Millenaire will be the first MC1.4.7 mod to be covered because it is the easiest to accomplish.
I actually am currently downloading a crap tonne of mods for my own use into MC1.4.7, and will be posting an announcement on my personal page pretty soon on what I intend to do. Millenaire is installed on my machine at present, I just need TooManyItems next so I can test each block that I create.
No materials from the original texture pack will be accessible from there, however mod support - the site's main objective - will be released from there whenever I see fit. The first compilation of textures will be for Millenaire, and will mostly cover some frequently seen GUIs and blocks from the same.
Meanwhile, some test images:
Byzantine tiles and timberframes from Millenaire.
New ores: the iron ore vein at the bottom is there for comparison. So far I am pleased with the appearance of bornite, but apatite and cassiterite still need to be worked, and reworked. I might keep apatite in, and re--use it to reproduce other ores but at this point nothing can be confirmed.

Thaumcraft 3 would also go beautifully with this!

Soonish.
You say it so shortly and like it wouldn't be hard. There are so many mods in FTB that it would be more work than texturing all of vanilla Minecraft.
There's yet more to come!
