I've seen this pack early in it's developement, but it took me until now to think of any constructive critisisms! Everything is so perfect!
However, in the interest of pushing the limits of perfect, I love the gap in the stone brick (or at least I think it's a gap), but maybe you could randomize it, so some blocks would have gaps, some would have a different arragement of gaps, and some wouldn't have gaps? Even two arrangements of the texture for random CTM would look beautiful!

Fare well everyone! My time to retire has come! "And with that, POW! I'm gone." ---Lord Crump
Fun with slabs (and CTM). I'm thinking of putting some type of fancy scroll-work at the top.
And my lovely little nature shrine I built:
On another note, as you can see from the slab revamp, I've had the sudden urge to go back through this pack and fix all the old and less-than-stellar textures.
So now's the chance to air your grievances! What texture(s) do you think could use the most improvement (including other things besides just terrain)? Please don't say 'I think the netherrack should be red because the nether is supposed to be red.' That's not what I'm looking for. With the design aesthetic this pack currently has, which textures need the most improving from an artistic perspective?

If you can pass me the Creative GUI, I can see if I can fix it for you.
Also:
What if we took my prototype 64x painting textures and used Art Nouveau-themed stuff for some of the elements? For my own use, some of my own artwork is fine but I feel that for this texture pack, Art Nouveau would be sufficiently "Victorian" in nature, yet fantastic enough for use. I can try sourcing the images that you want....but only if you consent to it.
I've got the GUI covered, don't sweat it.
I'm not sure what 'Art Nouveau' is. Got any examples?
Steel, I always thought the paintings need to be fixed - having blocky textures just doesn't cut it for me, which is why I inserted a proposal draft image here. Further, can you adjust the colour of the cream-yellow squares on the GUIs or at least suggest an overhaul that I can use? I'm getting tired of my own Byzantine imperial yellow, it just clashes too much with the British feel of this texture pack - but I'm not willing to squint away just to see how much of something I've got in my Inventory.
Also, what do you think about my concept for the iron golem and the Thaumcraft trunks?
Well sense you are asking, I never liked the design you have for the cobble. I mean, I could just use the customiser, I'm not asking for a new texture, I just don't like that one, you have many great old ones.
This is a lso a technical thing, the breaking particals for cactus use the cactus bottom texture, so when you punch a cactus we see default colors. You could just copy/paste the top to where the bottom is, and fix it.
And I would love finished paintings.
Well, that's about all that was on my mind. I am so happy you are updating this again!
True, maybe instead of the review of dragon dance I should work on updating the enchanted review. Though all I really need to do is update the screenshots.

This. The cobble is great for walkways, but for buildings it's just too small. Also, it looks very brick-y. That's just my opinion, though, and the only real complaint I've ever had for this pack. Also, randomobs would be lovely.
Why does my signature for the Steelfeathers pack not show an image?
I know exactly what's wrong. You need to go to the box where you edit your sig and click on the little square above the B for bold. That will change the editing mode to allow you to see the actual code. Then, delete the wonky code and reinsert the code given in the OP. That should fix it.

I have a love-hate relationship with that cobble. I adore the mossy cobble, but don't really like building with the regular cobble (except for walkways, as Dezibahn noted). I think I need to come up with a new design, but I'm not sure what to do...

Also, what do you think about my concept for the iron golem and the Thaumcraft trunks?
From what you sent me in your PM, I've decided I'm not the greatest fan of art-neauov (no offense to you). I really think classical style paintings would fit better with this pack-- even from something as recent as the colonial era. The frames, however, are lovely. Thank you. I'll see about using them when I decide on the artwork itself.
The GUI is going to be redone. I don't like it at the moment, so I plan to change it. I know that will probably throw your mod texturing into disarray, but it should be easy enough for you to go back and edit the white/yellow squares once I'm done. It doesn't particularly matter to me if the mod GUI exactly matches the pack GUI anyway.
Your thaumcraft trunks and iron golem are fantastic. I love them to bits. ....but I don't think they go with this pack. They look like they belong in with Glimmar's stuff, not mine. Nevertheless, I shall use the thaumcraft trunks since I have no intention of making my own.
I vote the new door, and the old plank textures. I always hated the default Minecraft plank textures because they looked as tacky as ship planks in RuneScape.

Just clean up the GUI on your side first. The faster you do so, the better for me. It's a shame you're going to redo it all, since the GUI was one of the very first things which attracted me to this texture pack, despite my reservations due to visibility issues.

I agree. Can you suggest what can be done to harmonise them? can you give me a texture or suggest one to me that I can use?
Also, latest:
More Thaumic/Arcanacraft goodness courtesy of your friendly laser-armed alien, Azanor - this one duplicates diamonds for some Vis and spits it out in the panel to the right... I have not finished off all the GUIs but with this one we are finally finishing off all grey-series GUIs for Thaumcraft. We also managed to assemble another for the Arcane Bore, a most interesting machine that lagged one of my worlds.
Some news:
Steelfeathers has reminded me that I need to stop thinking like Glimmar and get down to her level. As I am cleaning out the last of Thaumcraft and the SimpleOres mod, I also managed to install the Forestry mod to produce fuel for my Thaumic devices. We will soon be manufacturing machinery that should fit the Enchanted pack well. I came to this decision, because I felt that the Enchanted pack would suit the nature and feel of Forestry quite nicely!
Also, say hello to the Enchanted skinpack's first numismatic collection!
These are a series of coins, originally manufactured for the Steampunk pack. I am unsure if it would fit in with the overall direction Steel has set, so I will be placing them here for evaluation.
I like the new planks very much... The old oak planks were good, and looked great on walls, but the trim on the edges really made walkways look weird. That's just my opinion... I'm so happy you updated this pack XD

...actually, created is a bit much.... Thought of. That's more accurate.
Ooh the planks is a hard one. I love how versatile the old texture is, but the new ones do look nicer, so I guess you can use them.
love the new doors, btw.
Oh, and for the Iron block, I've always loved the original pipe organ iron block.
Hello there, I've come across a problem - I downloaded your texture pack and installed the patcher, but it gave me a black screen for Minecraft. So I got a new JAR and it worked fine. I noticed the pumpkin problem, though, and I decided to try and re-download the patcher, but when I clicked the link in your first post, it gave me an error.
I'm not sure what to do, could you help me, please? Also, I ADORE your texture pack - I'm a huge fan of Emilie Autumn's music, and this texture pack makes me think of her

Looks good, but they're a little rough around the edges. Could use a bit of cleaning up.
As for the trunks and iron golem-- less tech and more decoration. Glimmar is all about the rivets, gears, lights, and buttons, whereas I tend to lean towards swirly engravings. Although a brass iron golem with some pipes running along its body would look boss. That's probably along the lines of what I would do (eventually).

After playing with the pack for a while, I've decided that I adore the new planks. Out with the old, in with the new. :3 Although I did change the hue and saturation a bit to make them less washed out and less yellow, which means I'm going to need to go back and edit everything that uses wood. o___o
I didn't say I had a problem downloading the texture pack. I said that when I downloaded the patch for it, it gave Minecraft a black screen. After I removed the patch, Minecraft was fine. After noticing the problems with certain things in the game with the texture pack [Pumpkins, nether, etc.] I decided to re-download the patch. The link to the patch gave me an error, not the texturepack download.

If MCPatcher does not work, Optifine should. Always install your Optifine last over any other mod to avoid any problems.
Going through my list of things that need renovating. Here are finalized pillars (slabs), trapdoor, and pistons.
Damn, I was worried that the new texture for the column was going to break it all, but I can now see that it's a vast improvement. Kudos, Steel. Pity for the trapdoor textures, I always loved them.

Makes sense. Would the Iron Golem perchance be best represented by this strange sculpture?
Or how about this concept: we remove the golem head, and instead of rivets and rust we use blackened steel with gold-leaf etching? kinda like Renaissance-styled armour?
There are also a variety of heads that you can use, too:
As you know, the textures I originally created for Thaumcraft were meant to be Asian-inspired Dokucraft textures. Although I decided NOT to pursue working for the Dokucraft team (who are a bunch of retarded bronies, IMHO) I find that having to change it all is just too much. The Thaumcraft chests were meant to have patterns based off ancient Chinese bronzeware.

Only took me a month or two, but I finally got back on the horse. I have a big list of stuff I want to renovate.
Click on the spoiler below if you're interested, guys.
-Door (did last night)
-Wool (ctm + carpet/wallpaper designs)
-trapdoor
-birch/pine/jungle planks (did last night)
-piston
-pumpkin vine
-vines
-dead shrub
-jungle bush
-ctm books
-ctm glass
-iron block (I really want a normal looking iron block)
-Diamond block
New door I made last night (the old one has been bothering me for a while):
And some new pine and jungle wood:
