It doesn't use experience - but a sticky purple fluid called vis. Not sure if the arrow and bracket should be blue - since vis is purple I thought violet would've been more of the right colour but I'll leave Steel to decide.
LATEST NEWS:
Steel, CovertJaguar just told me how to mod Railcraft's textures, so I think I will concentrate on Railcraft as much as I can until all GUIs are finished. I will then send you the stuff via email once the last GUI file is complete, but as for the block textures you're on your own...for now.
Railcraft GUIs are nearly complete, but I still have problems with the detector buttons - can anyone suggest what I should use to represent players, livestock and monsters?

The blue looks fine to me, it's a very pretty color.

Wow, you're making a lot of progress on that. Nice.
As for the buttons.....maybe a hand, a paw, and a skull? idk, never used the mod.

Actually, you have to remember it took me four months to create the stuff, and we're only doing the GUIs - you remember yourself telling me that Glimmar's Steampunk blended well? damn, but it blends well with almost everything! Moreover, modding the textures for Minecraft is nothing compared to my actual main project:
...a mediaeval mod. Almost half the buildings and all the ships you see here were my own work, and I've only just started. Modding Minecraft is nothing compared to modding Rise of Nations.
As for Railcraft I myself haven't done much myself. With Railcraft, I only use very few machines, and haven't even learnt to build switchboards, but I guess it's a good start. How about:
Player: human head
Livestock: hoof (after all, a lot of mobs ARE hooved creatures!)
Monsters: human skull with fangs.
Can you update texture pack for 1.3(.2) been waiting for a long time D:
Steelfeathers is currently busy with the Assassini/Construttori texture pack. I will not be creating any textures for 1.3.2 yet, because I work only on a self-serving basis: if I have a mod or new feature installed, I will work on it, but rest assured we should have something ready in a month or so.
I absolutely love this texture pack, and have been using it for over a year now. Its one of my favorite texture packs out there. Just a shame you're having issues with updating it to 1.3.x due to the darkness of your monitor. =/
Got the monitor issue resolved (yay!) and I'm working on the 1.3.2 update. I've already done most everything, I just have to finish the enderchest and trip wire.
And here's the emerald ore/block. I recolored sunwukong's lovely asian inspired design.
Here's an experimental painting set for the Enchanted pack (originally in 64x res, but butchered courtesy of Photobucket -.-):
Comments, Steel? also, waht do you think about the new buttons for Railcraft?
(you will have to forgive me since some of the frames came from Assassini-Construttori. Some of the drawings here are also my own.)
Also, how dod you get the highlights onto the emerald block? I had been thinking of adding highlights to the emerald block myself, but I found it very difficult. Is there a special way of doing so while leaving the etched design intact?

For the emerald block I used two layers, one for the dark background and one for the design. When the layers are locked it's easy to put highlights on the design layer.
Also, I plan to either make original art for this pack, or use free-use artwork (since copyrighted artwork is against forum rules). But thanks.

I'm not too concerned about the artwork, Steel' - that one is replaceable. But what do you think about the picture frames? does the complete concept mesh with your own ideas? Just a quick note: everything I used is generally free-use, save for the glass bottles, and a few others which are actually my own handiwork.
LATEST: As practice for getting ready to work with the Enchanted pack as an assistant, I have set myself an exercise: working with Thaumcraft 2. I just created an animated trunk, using a combination of your textures and my own. Details are to be posted soon....
(Thaumcraft support might be necessary, because it is rumoured that its creator, Azanor, is close to stitching up Arcanacraft. However, I believe that the appearance of M1.4 - which seems very, very close - will interrupt his work.)
I absolutely love the update. However, whats up with the messed up Creative inventory?
You're using one of the snapshots, that's what's up. The layout for the allitems screen has been changed (again). Which means I need to fix it (again). *sigh*
Thanks for pointing that out. I'll get on it as soon as I can.

If you can pass me the Creative GUI, I can see if I can fix it for you.
Also:
What if we took my prototype 64x painting textures and used Art Nouveau-themed stuff for some of the elements? For my own use, some of my own artwork is fine but I feel that for this texture pack, Art Nouveau would be sufficiently "Victorian" in nature, yet fantastic enough for use. I can try sourcing the images that you want....but only if you consent to it.

Well if you say so we will work on the rest of Railcraft, and then I will hand over the GUIs to you tonight. Thaumcraft will be next on my list.

...actually, created is a bit much.... Thought of. That's more accurate.
