The time has come for this pack to be posted to Planetminecraft, but a few things are still missing. First and foremost, this pack still needs a 'Main' screenshot to advertise this pack to the unwashed massed. The Main screenshot needs to be the ULTIMATE screenshot. The Best Darn Screenshot You've Ever Taken. Period.
So that's where you guys come in! Help me to find the perfect way to advertise Steelfeathers' Enchanted pack for the masses! So break out your F2 keys and let's get started.
Please note: Screenshots for this part of the contest should feature both nature AND man-made constructions. This could be as simple as a cabin in the woods or as complex as a courtyard in a castle. It's up to you.
Part 1 Rules:
You may submit as many entries as you wish, but only one will be chosen as the overall winner.
The Main screenshot contest will run alongside the Theme-of-the-week screenshot contest (detailed in Part 2 below). This means that you can continue submitting entries for the main contest while also participating in each weekly contest.
The main screenshot contest will end on the deadline for the last Theme-of-the-week contest.
If only a handful of entries are submitted and/or none of the entries are 'up to scratch', I reserve the right to not feature them on planetminecraft. A winner will still be chosen, however. (Just see this as extra motivation to do well. :wink.gif:)
Part 1 Requirements:
Screenshots must be taken using the latest version of the pack (default textures only).
'Fancy' graphics and 'far' render distance are a must.
For this part of the contest, nighttime screenshots will not be accepted.
Screenshots should showcase a variety of textures and be zoomed in far enough for the viewer to see the details of the textures.
The beauty of the shot, the clarity of the textures, and the variety of textures will count more towards your score than the ingenuity/epicness of your builds. Your piston fortress may be wicked cool, but does it really represent this pack? Probably not.
If you like to play minecraft on your widescreen TV, please scale down your pictures to a manageable size before submitting. The screenshots themselves will also be smaller if you decrease the size of your Minecraft window.
Part 2: Theme-of-the-Week
Time to show off your Minecraft shutter-bug skillz! Each week will have a new theme for you to flex your creative muscles with, featuring everything from desert ruins to medieval labyrinths to epic space battles! (well...maybe not epic space battles :tongue.gif:)
The theme for each week will be announced on friday or saturday, and entries for that week will be due the following friday. Winners will be chosen and announced for each week shortly after the deadline for that week closes. Please note that you may also participate in the Main screenshot contest at the same time.
This week's theme: Dungeon
Your dungeon can be as elaborate or cramped as you wish.
Devious traps and eerie mood lighting optional.
Extra points for spiders!
Part 2 Rules:
You may submit as many entries as you wish, but only one will be chosen as the winner per week.
Each week will have a theme- ruins, nether, etc- and the screenshots should fit the theme.
The theme for each week will be announced on saturday, and all entries must be submitted by the following friday.
Part 2 Requirements:
Screenshots must be taken using the latest version of the pack. Alternate textures are accepted.
'Fancy' graphics and 'far' render distance are a must.
For this part of the contest, nighttime screenshots will be accepted, so long as they are well-lit and the textures are still clearly visible.

Challange accepted, what is the time limit? Depending on the limit I might use the building I'm working on right now as an example.
Since the first theme was announced today, the deadline for the theme-of-the-week screenshots is next friday.
As for the main screenshot contest...I'm thinking of doing 4 themes (maybe less, if no one is interested), which would make the overall deadline about a month from now, maybe sooner.
How come my cobblestone does not look like ZxNoRegretZxz's? The cobble was my main reason for this pack. :sad.gif:
I made a new cobble for the latest update. If you want the cobble he uses in his videos, download the 'extras' folder and swap in the one you want from there.

EDIT: Here's the absolute least I can do for the contest, but it's a start, right?

Retired StaffVery nice! Your entry is noted, good sir.
Excellent! Your stuff is always quite epic. :3
Just remember that the quality and clarity of the shot is more important than the build.
Also, I made some new pine trees last night that I am very much in love with:
They are quite nice. Actually they're awesome... WANT.
And I need to work on my big entrie
