I'm wondering if that was because of me.
I did point out in the comments that the link he put lead to a different site and that the creator preferred links lead to this thread, but it might have gotten lost in all the other comments, anyway. :I
It was until about an hour ago. Then I found this video by some famous person that uses my pack, and I went, 'hey that's pretty cool.'
Then I browsed through the comments.
....And then I had to go cry in a corner for a while. I kid you not, a solid HALF of all the comments said something along the lines of 'that pack sucks, why the hell are you using it?'
Reeeeally motivating, I have to say. :\
Well, it's just like being a celebratory, everyone knows you, but some people just gotta hate.
I was going to tell you about that video, since I'm subscribed to that let's player and he just switched to your texture pack in that video, and it was released just yesterday, but I hadn't read any of the comments yet.
About the hate comments, I'd like to say that this let's player normally uses default. Switching to a higher resolution texture pack is a major change, and something not all the subscribers he has are going to like, since they liked seeing default. It may attract new subscribers, but the ones he already has may not be happy.

Okay, you know what? I don't want the yogcast to use my pack. In fact, I don't want any famous person to use my pack. I haven't gained anything but a lot of unneeded stress.

I guess it doesn't matter how big or small the pack is, there will always be people who dislike it for some reason or another. It's all personal taste I guess. In your case you mainly get good comments so I wouldn't worry about the odd negative one :smile.gif:.

Ya, and also, stupid people are stupid so don't bother with them. Like if 42and19 ever didn't like a texture, he would give constructive feedback. Where as I bet if you asked any of those guys who commented why they didn't like it, they would say, "cuz it suxz..."

I think it's mostly because people are used to seeing default and they get mad when they see texture packs. Must be kinda annoying for famous minecrafters in a way then, use texture pack - get hate comments... Don't use texture pack, eventual eye bleed... :tongue.gif:

Steel, ya know paulsoaresjr (he's a famous guy on youtube), he used dokucraft for a couple of episodes for a new series he's doing, and everyone said they hated it, not because they disliked it, but because paulsoaresjr always uses the default! So, maybe that's the deal here, hopefully.

(Just for the sake of Feather's sanity the reason he used Dokucraft is because it was ToK, and it seems the normal to use DokuCraft with that... I think he was doing it 'just because')
I really feel you shouldn't hae looked into the comments on something showcasing your pack on that scale, Steel. Breather (and everyone who he basically paraphrased :tongue.gif:) have the right of it.
YouTube commenters (notcommentators this is why people need to use proper English while writing!!*) usually are extremely picky and really rather scared of change (example; the pandamonium the new layout caused). Also the matter of fact is from nearly a years addiction experience with YouTube and it's community, some people comment because they can, usually during a dull part of the video, so usually what they write is bored driven, or thoughtless dirt.
* Not grammatically correct. Needed to state incase some jackass got picky on my comment...

You are completely and absolutely right. I shouldn't have looked at the comments. I don't know why I did-- I never really have before.
But you know what's funny? If I hadn't stumbled over that video by accident, I never would have known that someone famous used my pack. So much for that particular route to stardom.
