I do indeed have a DA account. My name is Steelfeathers there as well.
I'm planning to do aether support, but I don't know about wildgrass. Does the mod even work for 1.7.3 now that notch has made his own long grass?
I'm fairly sure it does, but I think the mod loader version is the one to use, being it has separate .pngs for the grass images, that and it shits all over notchs version of wild grass :smile.gif: not that I am unhappy notch implemented it at all, i just think the mod is still better :smile.gif: I will be supporting it some time.
pack is looking great, cant wait to see more updates, or the aether textures if thats what you are doing. You should go for a real 'heaven' sort of look, as the Americans depict it on little greetings cards and such.

What, like all white textures? Haha, that would be a little boring. Nah, I'll think of something exciting to do.
And I'll have to look into the wildgrass mod. I haven't used it in months, so I don't know what's changed. XP

Awesome! :happy.gif:
And yes, it in fact does. I'm currently using it and the squares it takes up on the terrain.png are all those annoying greyish square textures! >_< (Or invisible, or pink, depending on the texture pack.) And @ Dorian, it would be just as easy to support the modloader version as it would the default version. You just take each of the individual 16x16 textures and put them on the terrain. I prefer the modloader terrain version because i don't have to separately edit each wildgrass texture and because more packs support that version over the default modloader version.

I'll have to go back and test out the mod again. Last time I tried making one of my textures wildgrass compatible, I could never get it to change from the default textures.

OH god no. There is much more creativity to be had than that. But I think it would compliment your pack well. golden paved streets, big wrought iron (but mad of gold) gates, and blues, whites, silvers, turquoise, and all manner of wonderful colours.

I love, LOVE that you use vines for your mossy cobble. The top of the half-blocks is gorgeous, as are the doors and beds. The door is very original, too; I haven't seen a door like that anywhere else.
The light blue wool as a dark blue pattern bothers me, though. I don't mind the other carpeting patterns since they look like the color they're supposed to be, but the light blue wool as dark blue doesn't work for me at all. The tile lapis is a little much, too. It feels busy.
Love this pack, though. Definitely want to see what else you do with it. I suggest the next thing you work on be the tools, since that's the item that's most evident as "Didn't work on the items yet."

Damnit, I can never seem to get the lapiz right. *grumbles*
I put the blue carpet pattern in the light blue slot because I wanted to be able to have an even darker blue carpeting pattern. But there will always be alternates, of course, so never fear-- you will have your pastel blue soon enough.
Glad you like the doors! (and the mossy cobble- very few people appreciate the hanging vines)

people seems to complain about the lapis a lot. In almost every texture pack thread that I follow there is someone who doesn't like it. I wonder why? Is it just an ugly concept or something?

I think there are two problems with it: 1)No one's quite sure what it's supposed to be for. I mean, you make stacks of gold bricks and/or wall decorations from the gold blocks (and diamond blocks), you make machine parts from the iron block, and....bathroom tiles from the lapiz? *shot* 2)Lapiz is so bright-- oftentimes that level of saturation doesn't fit with most packs, but if you tone it down any then it just looks dull and bad...
Yay for the upcoming wolves. On the Lapis discussion, honestly the block is just so out of place. It feels like Notch just threw it in because he couldn't come up with any other block to turn into Blue Dye. The metal blocks (Iron/Gold) can easily make sense in building Factories or Castles etc while Diamond can easily make sense as a rare decoration. Lapis however is neither overly valued or used in building... It's certainly the odd block out in Minecraft.
(As an aside, I love the Vines even though I don't use Mossy Cobblestone in that way)
I don't understand you.
How can you have FOUR incredible texture packs, and not have vast amounts of people willing to kill on your whim. I've used Dokucrat for a long time now, and to be honest, I don't like it that much, all the stones and ores look off, yet he has such a HUGE fanbase. he did one texture pack, quite halfway, another, quite a quarter way done, and then did dokucraft, which he also quite. You have FOUR almost all complete texture packs, that are all STUNNING, and you ALSO regularly reply on the forum.
I'm forced to ask, are you JESUS?
it's totally victorian btw, I would love to do a minecraft-shakespere play using this texture pack.
It is amazing how many good texture packs get buried in favor for inferior work. Take the painterly pack for example. It's only selling point is the vast amount of alternatives.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Oh my, I had a good laugh when I read this. I think I love you (in a totally platonic way).
Why don't I have people willing to kill at my whim? That's a very good question- one of the mysteries of the universe, even. I might have to look into hiring some minions. Think they would work for alternate textures?

I concur that too many packs do go unnoticed, but I myself am rather fond of painterly. I don't use it all the time (32x being perferred), but it's one hell of a step up from default.
And I totally nerdgasm over its flowers. I wish I could make pixel flowers look that good. :\
