Ok, I updated the signature with a non-lined version (it auto-updated on my last post because I modified the file in my dropbox). Thanks XSSheep for the fix :biggrin.gif:
No worries, glad I could help! :biggrin.gif:
@1435: That's the exact same as my fireplace! Ours doesn't work anymore though, we blocked the chimney and put an awesome pot where the fire would normally be.
@Feathers: ZOMG! *Steals idea*
No, I joke, this one's all yours... :wink.gif:
I am going to go make my gold block though, it's quite ugly. Any ideas?
And I'm sorry to say that if I had any ideas for what to do with the gold blocks I'd be off replacing my own gold block. :\
Well it's certainly a difficult block to come up with good and unique ideas for.... :/
I've been sidetracked anyway, I'm making a 32x cobble texture based on the picture of the fireplace and of my own fireplace. I'll post some picures of it with your pack when I'm done! (about 30% done now)
Ok, sorry for the double post, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut, pre-shading pics:
It still needs shading (this is basic shape and colour) but I think once it has been shaded to make it a tad more dirty, worn out and dark, it will fit your pack quite well, Feathers! :biggrin.gif:
So much so that I might keep using my cobble with your pack.
EDIT: Tweaked dirt colour slightly so you can get an idea of the colour if you wanted to make an alt. I personally think this colour is quite nice!
Ok, sorry for the double post, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut, pre-shading pics:

That cobble's looking good, Sheep! Can't wait to see it finished! Although I'm not sure about the dirt shade...I'm rather attached to my pale and crumbly dirt, haha. :tongue.gif: Though I'm sure that with time I'll come to realize your wisdom and submit to the inevitability of darker dirt.
And in answer to the implied challenge, here's my own nascent 'rough' cobble:

Heh, I guess I'm used to this dirt colour because it's a bit more similar to my pack and I'm quite used to seeing darker, more red tones everywhere!
I love that cobble though, it's my favourite out of all of yours so far! :biggrin.gif:
I did the shading on a couple of stones, but then I got distracted by my friend on steam who told me something about skyrim which I then HAD to check out...
Just you, sorry. That's a minecraft bug that I've encountered before, but not since 1.8...
Thanks! Here, have a mushroom:
Takes mushroom, those mushrooms are mine. That's like my symbol, mushrooms, they're definatly the best thing in minecraft. (and the mushroom biome is just totally epic)
EDIT: I really should read all the other posts before posting, (lol) cuz that cobble looks epic! But will it still replace the one you liked earlier. Or will it be an alternitive? :dry.gif: I actually wouldn't mind if this was the default though! Very nice.
EDIT 2: Minecraft comes out in 4 and a half hours! :DDDDDDDDDDDDDD

Any and all 'chunky' cobble varieties will be relegated to the realm of alternates. I am very firmly in the 'brick' cobble camp- I can't get too cozy with the enemy. :unsure.gif:
I haven't started on it yet, but I really like the idea, so I'm going to give it my best shot. It's not like I have any better ideas. :tongue.gif:

Awww we aren't the enemy -hugs- I like I said before the I just dont really see the point in haveing two stone bricks.
----Formal Suggestion, replace the red brick stairs with oxidized copper!!! = WIN

FYI- the brick stair texture is derived from the regular brick texture. Aka, no oxidized copper stairs without turning the bricks into oxidized copper blocks.
I didn't like my old fort much, so I made another thing on Minecraft to see how I could use the iron & sponge textures in an interesting way:
My lava purification plant!
-Lava pipes leading underground.
-Machinery hidden inside...
-Pipes hang from the ceiling and the main machine sits in the center.
-Another view of the inside.
-View from one of the lava pipes towards the exit.
-An outside view.
Oxidised copper blocks would be awesome, perhaps as an alt for iron ore? Then people's houses wouldnt be made to look weird by copper oxide fireplaces and such (if brick was used as copper oxide)
another long post is long
Woah! That looks too epic. I wish I could just build amazingly like that. At least I'm good at making little villages! :biggrin.gif: *looks at time* WOAH! A HALF AN HOUR BEOFRE FULL RELEASE! :ohmy.gif: *dies*
EDIT: 10 MORE MINUTES! (that is, the live stream) :DDDDDDDDDDDD

Thanks, but I'm watching the IGN livestream... oh... XD Hmmm, it's 1:00 pst. Why hasn't it started yet? :dry.gif: However the music is quite pretty for the pre-livestream, waiting screen thing.
gah so much has happened. I meant to check this like the next day and again got dragged away. your new texture look amazing steelfeathers, super jealous of your work as always, and good to see this pack sitting at the first page as it should be. So consider this a friendly bump from a part time ghost :smile.gif:

One word: EPIC. You, sir, are overflowing with nifty ideas. :wink.gif:
And don't worry, I am not changing my bricks into anything metallic. I like them the way they are.

It's the tiniest bit grainy from a distance, but that's the nature of the beast with detailed designs.
