Realistically Feathers I think the best way to appeal to the majority of people is to turn it into a complete piece of crap [see Microsoft Windows]. If you take a truckload of rednecks to the art museum...guess how many of them will actually appreciate and enjoy the works of art.

I beg to differ. All the mega-popular packs (Doku, glimmar, john smith, misa) all have incredible artwork.

They also all look just as good as yours. The difference is that most, if not all, of those packs have been around longer, and have been popular for ages, which has given them all time to culminate in a much larger user base through spread of word.
I use your pack almost exclusively, but I haven't had a lot of time lately nor a ton of interest in playing minecraft right now. Besides, I don't feel like dealing with having the 1.9 prerelease either so I'm not really updating my packs either. =/

Pack are always backwards compatible. The newest version will work perfectly well with 1.8 or 1.7.3 or 1.2....
Wow, I'm really sorry I missed all these pages BUT, Feathers, your packs are my favorites. I use all of your packs constantly, this one the most. I noticed the unfinished GUI, and I didn't mind it, as a matter of fact, I LOVED it! Big deal, it's only 1/4 of it. It's still awesome. And as for the popularity, it's a viscous cycle of "more fans=more publicity=more fans-more publicity=etc" It's exponential. That's why if we get you on the YoGscast, with it's 700,000+ subscribers and over 2,000,000 veiws per vid. I think there's a good chance of you going down in history along with Misa, Doku, and those other texture packs I don't use because there not yours.

Why did no one point out that I had accidentally included the half-finished inventory GUI that I was testing? Either it just didn't bother you guys (but I can't see why it wouldn't), or none of you have actually really used v0.8. :\
Anyway, I updated the download link with a new(er) version of v0.8 that no longer has the mauled inventory screen or derpy unicorn painting(s)
I DL'ed 0.8, this is actually my "default" pack! I didnt report the gui that was in cause i thought it was so awesome and was supposed to be there!
