Why did no one point out that I had accidentally included the half-finished inventory GUI that I was testing? Either it just didn't bother you guys (but I can't see why it wouldn't), or none of you have actually really used v0.8. :\

Anyway, I updated the download link with a new(er) version of v0.8 that no longer has the mauled inventory screen or derpy unicorn painting(s)

Given how few downloads this pack gets, I suspected that not many people actually use it. Like it, yes. Comment on it and talk about it, yes. Use it? Not really. No matter what I do, I can't seem to make art that people want to use as their minecraft default.

PS: Your avatar is very lovely. Did you make it yourself?


EDIT: I was going to work on icons and gui....but now I'm really not in the mood......

EDIT 2: Yours is one of the few HD packs that I consider worthy to have ready for a sudden magical improvement in my computer. I still adore it. ^^

But the main reason I create art (beyond the fact that I am compelled to do so by the insatiable, overwhelming need to create beauty) is that I want to share it with others. I want others to like it as much as I do, and use it for all it's worth. And I know I'm being a bit of a cry baby, but.....well, it makes me feel just a little bit hollow inside when I see evidence that people are only saying 'good job', but not actually using my art for any other reason than to say 'good job'.

Wanting to make art for myself is the main motivation for this pack (and all my packs), but I really don't get the chance to play minecraft all that much any more. So without the sense that I have an audience that wants to use my art, I wouldn't really have the motivation to continue putting in the enormous amount of time and effort it takes to update.
