Awesomesauce, finally a reason to actually venture into the nether....can't remember the last time I went. Yeah thats Doku biome shading. Think I was using the light pack but don't know if they're the same in each pack. Can't believe how great it looks in game, it's even better than I thought it would be. :biggrin.gif:
I'm anticipating that a lot of people will complain, because it's not the standard red cobble-ish thing. But that type of look has been done to death, and what's the point of making a texture pack if not to make something new?

Exactly, plus the very reason I avoid the nether is because it's just a giant red thing...oh look, some red lava, oh look, red walls..and floor..and ceiling....and ooh whats this...dark but with a hint or red soul sand. There's just nothing of interest about it.

Shhh... keep this to yourself....
EDIT: The hands pull at you as you walk by, slowing you down....muwahahaha...

OMG that's freakin sweet, kinda evokes the image of walking down a dark, dank alley that suddenly opens up into a twisted alternate realm, where lava flows instead of water and hands reach out to grab you, but (because of the way you've done the nether rack), there's still something strangely...familiar about it. I actually haven't been inspired to build anything in a long time but this pack is giving me lots of ideas. Yay no more install mods, play for 30 mins, look for more mods whilst feeling totally uninspired!

I have the same problem. Why do you think I've been churning out texture packs rather than actually playing minecraft? Guh...wish I could build...
Ahhh! I've been worrying all day when you said 'today' you meant another timezone, it'll be early morning when you release it here then. This makes me sad, as I'm sorting out stuff to do with my computer tomorrow, so probably wont be able to play with the pack (and criticise it :SSSS:) for a day or two, I was mightly looking forward to it!
*Sadface*
Oh well, I'm determined to take my time on this and make it a good one, so I guess we'll both have to wait a while for your review.
You need to do something special with the diamond, gold, iron, and lapis block. Don't make it a stack of bars or a solid block of metal, try for something cool like you did with your other pack(s)!
Like the name though. Definitely fits. :smile.gif:

Retired StaffChill. It will be out in a few more hours. Don't want me to release something sub-standard, do you? :wink.gif:
Thanks!
(Although I'm thinking more 'victorian fantasy' than RPG at the moment :smile.gif:)
