I'm excited to have the download link, to test it ingame for myself!
...Dang, so jealous of the talent the 32 by 32 creators have. Regardless, I'll release my texture pack for the public eventually.
So intimidating though! Geez. Tone down the talent, you guys! :biggrin.gif:
Naw, but seriously, you're doing a great job on this pack, I would definitely use it.
EDIT: HOWEVER, I don't like your coal or iron blocks at all. The coal is too abrasive, and the iron looks like it has some coloring issues. I don't know what you could do about it, but I think you should take a little look at it.
(I think you have a bit of the same issue as Dorian and his ores at first, with the whole encasement thing)

Haha, thanks! Making 32x textures is less about 'talent' than about 'skill', or so I've found. If you want to see my artistic 'talent' (such as it is) check out my deviantart page. I'm steelfeathers there too.
Looking forward to seeing your pack!
EDIT: yeah, I'm working on the coloring for the iron. But the coal is supposed to look like loose, powdery sheets in between the rock (the way it is in real life). I'm actually baffled that you don't like it, since the things people hate I usually have doubts about myself...but I love that coal...
(PS: I've been keeping an eye out for updates from you, but somehow I completely missed that. Doi.)
OH I tend not to make new posts if mine was the last post in the thread (unless its worth its own post) so I just tack them on the end so as to not pointlessly bump my thread like some of the newbies on the forums.
I cannot wait to download and look at this when I get back! Best of luck while I'm away!

Oh, are you going on a trip? Where to?
I guess that makes me a noobie then. Derp. *sadface*

HA ha ha, no you are posting progress updates in a thread that is all about updates at the moment then, so its expected. Where is mine is done by releases being the big news :smile.gif:
I am heading to boat harbour in tasmania with my mother, brothers and nieces for a week, should be lovely (as well as freezing)
I'm going to post the download link to this thread, and change the title to...whatever I decide to make the title XP. I'll have 'previously:Thoughts on new pack-Does this look RPG, or Victorian' in the subject line, just to make it easier to find.
And if no one comments when it comes out, I'll have to go hide in a corner...

Hehehehe...
I'll criticize something or another, I'm sure.
I still don't like the coal! I understand how you want it to pack into the stone, but it takes up like 90% of the block, and it looks pretty grid-like.
Oh well, gives me an excuse to mine it and use it in-game, if you don't change it. Lol
So I got a little bit cheeky and added the png on the front page to the doku pack I'm using and opened a random old world. My god it's amazing (the pack, not my random old world lol). I took a few screenshots, hope you don't mind me sharing them. If you do let me know and I'll take them down.
Hope this works because I've not posted pics to this forum before:

Okay, I'll work on making it less grid-like then. Maybe that way you won't hate it so much! lol

Why you cheeky little--!
Kidding. Those screenshots do look pretty cool. The biome colors for the grass look pretty funky though (and not in a good way). Is that normal minecraft, or Doku biome shading? If it's normal, I'll definitely have to change it...I can't stand that shade. Ugh.
Btw....you guys are going to LOVE the nether. Think dungeon. On steroids. ;D

Awesomesauce, finally a reason to actually venture into the nether....can't remember the last time I went. Yeah thats Doku biome shading. Think I was using the light pack but don't know if they're the same in each pack. Can't believe how great it looks in game, it's even better than I thought it would be. :biggrin.gif:

It may take some prodding, but I always get there eventually. Keep the criticism coming!
Oh, by the way-- what didn't you like about the wheat?

Retired StaffI believe you. That was just my 'extreme happiness' face. No words needed to express my glee.
love the shape of the wheat, looks great, it was just too much of the one yellow, needed better shading IMO.
p.s. *cough* you should go look at the new ores I tacked on the end of my last post in my thread.

My Website. I make mods for Minecraft and am also making my own game.
