Since the Aether mod just came out (and everyone seems to be loitering around the modding forum), I'm probably going to wait for the hubbub to die down a bit before releasing. But just to make the wait seem a little less arduous, I added pics of some stuff I've been working on.
I've also noticed (the more I use this pack) that it's really starting to groove on a vaguely 'beauty and the beast' theme. Which presents some interesting options for different pack variations... maybe a light, ornate version called 'beauty' and a dark, brooding one called 'beast'.
The new pictures are awesome! Can't wait. Do you mean you're going to delay the release of the whole texture pack or just the aether parts of it. I finally got the aether mod working (yay) but to be honest I'm done with it already for now. Once they fix all the bugs I'll definitely go back to it though. Ithink that's why there's so much to do about it at the moment. Most of the thread is bug reporting or people yelling it's not working.
I love the idea for the different 'beauty' and 'beast' packs, the fireplace shot with the red carpet reminds me of a scene in the Disney version in Beast's castle; and now that you mention it, Iv'e got 'Be our guest' stuck in my head.
Im really not big on the lightstone. It looks odd and out of place, even against the other textures in the pack. Maybe im not sure what you were going for with it, but the harsh black is not doing it for me, and the pattern is a cool pattern but.... well Im not even sure what, but It doesnt feel like lightstone. (speaking of which I need to do mine)
I do love the bed though and the wheat looks great. The wheat might benefit from a bit more shading and mixed colour but overall its shape is great.
I personally dont like the glowstone,the clay and the wheat.The rest is pretty cool.
The clay is from one of my other packs, so it's going to change anyway. What don't you like about it? Just saying you don't like it doesn't help me make it better...

I changed it from black to brass. The picture I added to a reply is outdated. And it looks out of place in the nether because it's meant to be a lantern material, not a stone.

Haha, yeah, I've had 'tale a old as time' running through my head for hours. I've actually been unconsciously designing the textures for a gothic sort of theme that fits with b and b (not necessary the disney version, though).
And I originally meant the whole pack, since I wanted to include some aether textures, but now that you mention it I could probably wait and do those later.
Glad you like the idea of the different pack versions. :smile.gif: I'm really into it myself.
...or you could just check back tonight and tomorrow (since it should be out sometime around there).

Squeee! It's almost here. I don't know why people are hating on the moss, it looks awesome. Just replace a few blocks on the side of your house and voila...instant creeping vines. Moss stone is usually one of the few blocks I never like in a pack. The sandstone is looking awesome too. Definitely like the sound of a more gothic version as well, seeing as I always have a few saves going as once with different mods on them so it'll be great to have 2 versions.
Also apologies if it sounded earlier like I was moaning about having to wait until you'd done the aether textures. I'm just happy to be getting a pack this good so I'll wait as long as it takes :biggrin.gif:

Thank you! My point exactly. Creeping vines are awesome. And I'm glad someone likes the sandstone-- that's probably one of the textures I'm most proud of in this pack.

Actually I quite like "The Alchemist's". Sounds mysterious, full of intrigue and victorian goodness. Enchanted is just annoyingly vague.
