Really I like the pack, but your "copyright" thing is a bit excessive. I make no textures, but develop games and libraries through BYOND and don't see the reasoning behind limiting your work for others use. Your not making money, the only thing you get from this is credit. And personally if others do use your work others will notice and just spread your work further through a community.
Also what are you really going to be able to do anyways? You will hunt them down and what.. sue them? Good luck with that since this pack is most likely not actually legally copyrighted or registered in anyway.. so adding things like that to your project do just make you look a bit selfish.
If you so desperately want to use someone's textures, you can kindly ask them. Calling them selfish in their own thread for their own textures is a recipe for a kiss-my-ass omelet.

As I said, I am not a texture developer you obviously did not read my original post(nor did Steel for that matter, *sigh*).
I have seen this argument a lot. Even more since licence info is required now.
My question, why does it matter? Who cares if someone want to protect their work more than someone else. Why does that offend some people?
Edit: I read your entire post and what steel said makes sense in context. Not sure what you are getting at.
As for the question of if it copyrighted. Ever hear of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act? As a U.S. citizen all of Steelfeather's work is copyrighted as soon as it is published online.

If I spent hours upon hours upon hours on textures, I wouldn't want others to use them either. I wouldn't want my hard work to be distributed by anyone other than myself.

I did read your post-- very carefully, in fact. There were many things I could have said, but the best response was the one I gave you: I don't allow people to distribute/use it because I don't want people to distribute/use it.

Alright, I will respect your opinion. I am just more use to a very open community, and it seems to help in the long run. But as they say, to each his own. In response to Dante, that makes since the community I am from is small and not much of that happens or if it does it's easily noticeable and people avoid the game.

Thank you for that.
Like Dante said above, it's very hard to have an open community now because we have to be much more worried about protecting ourselves-- if we don't watch our backs and our art very closely, it's all too common that someone will take our textures and claim ownership of them, or else repost our packs and attempt to make money off of them.
How the hell did I suddenly miss 5 pages, which included the absolutely epic sword and axe additions. (resists urge to make Lord of the Rings joke).
I think Rapier size/shape swords fits with the whole Victorian theme really. My only complaint would be that there is no Gold Sword to complete the set :biggrin.gif:

Keep up the good work, can't wait to see more.

lol, I guess you did miss a lot of action. :biggrin.gif:
And I would throw a gold sword at you guys to complete the set, but the gold sword is....giving me trouble. It doesn't want to behave. :tongue.gif:
It would be appreciated by myself (and many, many others I'm sure), if you created some kind of tutorial on creating items (when you have the time of course, I know tuts aren't high on your to do list). But yeah!
Also, curious to know what you're doing with the gold items!
EDIT:my screenys didnt work sorry but i love this texture pack could you please tell me how to upload pics?
First, save the pics to your desktop. Then go to tinypic (it's free and you don't have to register) and click 'upload'. Then simply upload the pics you saved on your desktop to the site, and copy the html link it gives you (which should have [img] tags around the url). Finally, just copy and paste that link into a comment. :smile.gif:
