Read the whole thing before you install the mod! How it works:
As you may or not know when you equip a pumpkin on your head your whole screen turns black except for the cutouts of the pumpkin eyes and mouth.
You file for that is pumpkinblur.png in the misc folder in the minecraft.jar.
So I was messing around a discovered if I delete the blackness and fill it in with a light transparent green, I can use this to see in the night!

This is an okay mod. It really doesn't help... But if you could get the pumpkin helmet screen going (The one that looks like the Metroid HUD, seen in Yogscast Survival Island) that would be freaking awesome!
This Isn't even a mod,it's a graphical edit.Do us all and yourself a favor and rename the post before some noob ends up stumbling upon it and spams the post and you with questions.

There already are plenty of nightvision mods like this but this one is allot simpler and won't conflict with anything and works in SMP, even though it is easy to do and simple it looks like it works. In the first picture i could only see one tree (because it had snow) and in the second one i could see 4. They were all very faint but still more visible than the first one. In the underwater pics i couldn't see anything in the first one and in the second one i could barely make out a few blocks.

I'm using a crappy Dell Monitor and I can CLEARLY see a difference.
I can't see ANYTHING when it's night on my monitor so that's why I made this?
What I did notice, is that with the original night, you can't see the tree way on the left, and with your mod, you can see the tree, way on the left.
