Hello friends.
I am the creator of the QuantumCraft texture pack, and I love making textures.
I've come across a problem though; it seems I'm unable to change the compass texture. I've changed the icon in the items.png file, but it doesn't change anything in-game.
So I looked around for another image containing a compass texture, but I really cant find it.
Well, I have looked at your texture pack (specifically the items.png) and I see that you have changed the compass texture, now what exactly do you want help with? Are you having trouble changing the red pointer thingy? Because that is in a whole different file.
As I stated in the first post, the changed icon in the items.png doesn't show up, it's always the default compass.
I tried looking at other texture packs that had changed the compass, but again, in-game, the icon that shows up is the default compass.
I hope that clears things up a bit.
Thank you.
If using the patcher is the only way to make it work, then I'll just survive with the default compass... I am no big fan of downloading programs to change the way Minecraft works. Using a 16x16 texture pack is as far as I will go with changing.
On the one hand, part of the reason I want Minecraft to integrate the MC Patcher's functionality is so that everyone, even ignorant and closeminded people, can enjoy full texture customization like us intelligent and attractive people.
On the other hand, ignorance and refusal to change for the better shouldn't be rewarded.

HALP.

The compass icon IS there. That's the problem, but even though it IS in the items.png, Minecraft chooses to use the default compass.

Thanks for helping though.
