I was trying to make my terrain.png a little different and some how all the blocks with transparent textures went white. The torches are totally just a block of white that give off a little bit of light. It was probably my editor but i already ruined my terrain.png and was wondering how you guys would suggest getting a fresh vanilla terrain.png from 1.7.3 obviously or maybe not so obviously from all you herps out there(you know who you are)

Paint.net and photoshop don't delete transparency. MS Paint does.

delete the bin folder in your .minecraft folder and redownload minecraft. solved.

if you want to keep your mods:
- copy your MC folder to another location
- reinstall MC on the normal location
- grab the .png
- replace the vanilla folder with your modded one
- ???
- profit

he said i used paint ....... paint.net or photoshop wont fill in transparent pixels(better word for this??)

omg what now my grass blocks are all green.......

and cobble looks like it did pre 1.7

Try using biome compliant colours, greys and such and with the cobble you've probably got the outdated 1.7 terrain.png.

I did the unthinkable and deleted my MineCraft folder save for my saves now all i have to do is remember where i got the mods LOL
