After beating FF12 and spending a good amount of time ogling at it's realistic look on a low grade system I wanted to try and make a low graphics game - minecraft - carry the same beauty as other games out there. I've been working on a texture pack for a week or so and so far here is my compilation. I've done the major textures so far, and say I'm about 70% done. I'll release a .zip only when it's completed. Here's a little preview.
Below is a list of things i still need to do, and help/suggestions are much appreciated :smile.gif:
THINGS NEEDED:
- Replace minecraft logo with custom on opening screen (having a hard time with this, but I already have a logo)
- A fliker reducing mod (if it exists, I've reduced most eye seizures by bluring textures, but I would like a clean look that doesn't interfere with game play. I had a fliker reducing option on my PS2, that's about it :I)
- High res screenshots (My computer is very outdated. I would like some screenshots implemented with GLSL or opened in blender because I can't make them myself. That is, once the pack's released.)
- People with spare time (Mostly for making items, it's not difficult at all but time consuming when you have so many to make)
- pictures (all my texture come from pictures, I'm a cheat haha. It's hard to find some good pictures, however. I still need WHEAT, ORNATE PATTERNS, CAKE, BAMBOO, and TNT)
Thanks for lookin', I'm hoping to complete this soon.
Hmmm. Not a huge fan of the cobblestone. I'm digging the environmental textures though
I'll take that into consideration and make an alternative texture for it, and maybe a few others as well. I just wanted to make cobblestone geared more towards pretty construction because you use it often.
