...I've finally done it...I've broken my own solemn oath never to make a 'simple' texture pack...
...I feel so dirty...
Anyway, this little do-hickey was made for the three hour texture pack competition (vote for me!). Although the actual process of putting down pixels in photoshop only took three hours, I spent about nine hours total plotting and sketching.
Simple pack are a lot more work than I would have thought.
I now present to you: The Doll House pack! *confetti*

German Shepard police dogs, complete with cool shades and bullet proof vest.
Bash your enemies with a broom, a skillet, or-- if you're feeling REALLY ambitious-- a lightsabre! (made from rare diamond crystals). Gold sword for decoration only.
Mushroom grass
Why yes, that bed IS pink. Deal with it.
Aether mod support in progress! Here are some screenshots from v0.1.a (which has the basic aether landscape textures). There's still a lot more to do, but I wanted to get this out for those of you eager to play the mod with a texture pack. Keep an eye out for safes as locked chests in the future!
The pack is... interesting. There are some nice textures (crafting tables, ores and ore blocks) and some textures that need work (bedrock and the cake). Pretty cool given you only had 3 hours of work time on this.

Yeah, in retrospect the bedrock DOES look kinda silly. I'll still trying to figure out what to replace it with.
You should continue to improve this.
What i don't like:
-Clean Stone (Should be alot more clean, looks too rubish/messy and doesn't fit the other blocks)
-Wooden Door (make it more woodish(Brown :tongue.gif:))
-Mossy Cobble (Instead of scratching green through it, make it a bit darker green, and make it look more natural)
What i like:
-Dirt/Grass (Got it's own nice style, not too clean but still looks good)
-Brick (Looks Great! I love the mosaik styled theme on it, and it looks great being clean!)
-Rails (I love that style, different than all those others with the same style)
That's my feedback though, others my think else on it then i do.
Good luck further x
Thanks for the review!
I made the wooden door white because it's supposed to be for 'modern' building-- I don't know about you, but where I live I don't see many plain wood doors. :wink.gif:
I'm glad you like the brick. That's one of my favorite parts too.
9 hours sketching?! :ohmy.gif: I didn't sketch anything! :dry.gif: Guess I'll have to pay the price for that. But yea, GUI previews would be nice, although I won't see them for a week :tongue.gif:
Yeah, I'm such a freak. The only way to satisfy my perfectionist side was the have everything laid out before starting.
Have fun on your trip! Maybe I'll have something interesting up by the time you get back.
Steelfeathers! We talked a while back on the "texture packers chat"
Pretty nice for a simple pack. I really love the modern feel with the oven and TV :smile.gif:
I remember you!!! *points*
And I'm glad you like it. This is my first ever 'simple' pack, so I'm expecting it to get shot down alot. :|
I really like the stylish modern look that you're going with here. What really makes this pack look good is the different shaded lines motif that you use on some textures to a achieve a tall and stringy look. The overall use of patterns and textures is what separates this pack from "simple" packs, which are often in flat colors and usually refuse to divorce themselves entirely from the default textures. The color choices are very appealing. I can't wait to see what the rest of it will look like!

Thank you so much!
I didn't start out with a motif, but half way through I realized I was using the two-tone lines, and I just ran with it.
It's simple, lots of long lines give the impression of the object being taller and/or skinnier than it really is. (Sorry about editing my post while you were replying, I felt the need to explain what set this pack apart from the simple packs that you lumped it with.)

WOAH, WAIT. Our eyes take pictures? Please tell me I can recover these pictures from another person.
You have to stick a thumb drive up their nose, drag and drop the pictures onto it, and then load them through your ear.

I quite like this texture pack, used it in a Let's Play video (linked to this thread in the video description of course :wink.gif:). Keep up the good work if you can, I want to see it finished!

I like the pack, it's like Jolicraft crossed with Girlcraft!
Cute, but without the scary pastel hues...
