I played minecraft for about two weeks with the default textures having previously assumed all texture packs were either solid colours or horridly garish, then a friend showed me a screenshot of the gargamel seed using the jolicraft texture pack. Then, it occurred to me that not all texture packs need asault the eye. Feeling it wrong to use someone elses pack when I'm capable of making my own, I got straight to work.
*All terrain blocks
*All passive mobs
*Most hostile mobs
*Most item sprites

Just put the zip in your Minecraft texture packs folder, they even added a button to open this folder in Minecraft!
This pack contains a custom clock texture, use MCPatcher to install these http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/232701-611-update173-compatible-mcpatcher-hd-fix-210-02/ (instructions within)
Just incase you don't like it, simply swap the texture pack back to default. If you followed the advanced setup use the 'Force update' button before you log into Minecraft.

Who am I? I'm Tim, you may call me YM though and you can pronounce that how ever you want. I'm a student in the UK studying physics, though my real desire is to do level design.
You can follow me on twitter if you wish or visit my website to see other stuff I've done
Looks like I messed up Cake too, I can't get anything right! (It doesn't help that they changed the position of beds/cake in terrain.png!)
Started zombies and zombie pigmen:
I like the pigmen, think I might lighten the shadow around his eye and shorten his trousers. I'm not sure how much to beat him up, I'm not sure I want blood, and I don't like the green blood of the original zombie pigmen
I didn't expect the zombie's sunken cheeks to look like a cheesy grin so that'll be revised. Actually, the zombie needs lots of work still.
