*sigh* sometimes there is are disadvantages to communicating only through text. My style of humor tends to be lost more often.

I agree. I sat here for 15 mins trying to think of stone that I had seen that was smooth and couldn't think of anything. I been in lava tubes, tunnels created by water erosion, scaled cliffs, etc.. and none of those were anywhere near smooth.

Indeed, it perplexes me. It needs to be refered to as stone, thats what it is. I actually like my first stone better, but It can be a bit busy and didn't contrast to the cobble I had enough. If I worked on it I am sure it would make a a good alternate 'rough' stone.


Progress.

so I haven't done much since I tweaked 0.8 and sent it back out. I might try and dig in today and tomorrow to see what I can do. I will look into tweaking bricks and giving them a bit more depth, I will be doing redstone dust and I will be tweaking a few other things that people might have pointed out.

Also, a big thank you for people who download using the adfly link, I have nearly earn't my first 4 dollars, which is fantastic and will buy me a coffee or perhaps even some pasta. I appreciate it heaps guys.

So we started a new server the other day and are slowly building and expanding it. I thought I would show it off a bit with some screens (I will also use this as a 0.8 preview)

Nice pics and the brick is looking really good.

Much better look to the bricks! The red lining
suits them really well.

Also the rails look pretty solid. No complaints from what I
see.

Oh, I forgot to mention earlier-- your iron block needs more shine to it. I didn't recognize it as being the iron block until I moused over it. It looks just a little too much like stone. Or gray wool.

thanks for the comments on the bricks, much happier with them.

As for Iron I will do a completely new block sometime as I am unhappy with what I have done.

thanks mate, Also the rails are awful, I really need to fix them sometime, and I will, just time and creative inspiration is lacking lately. 0.8 is around the corner, I am just not sure which corner.

Huh. :dry.gif: The rails looked decent from the pic. I guess
I haven't seen them up close like you have though...

By all means, give another go at making them, if you think
they need improvement. Some standards you got there!

I have high standards, my tweak list is at about 30-40 lines, some of them are small 1 or 2 pixel edits, some are a complete redo. All in good time though.

As do I. Personally, I need standards. I just don't see how someone
can go about working and being content with a junky, finished result.
This pack definitely reflects the high standards, that you, as an artist,
and me, as a "consumer", are satisfied with.

The hard work you put into every texture most definitely doesn't go unnoticed.

in other new 2 people have approached me to use my pack in adventure maps, so fingers crossed something good might come back from those and my pack will be used for AWESOME THINGS!!!

oooo I am glad you liked it.. I was quite fond of the change, and as I don't use brick much its hard to tell.

shiiiiiiiiiiiiit. one of our servers was 150-200 mb in the past, but we had 5-6 people on it.


Also,
any of the testers who have anything to add to the list of tweaks? I want to knuckle down and get 0.8 out as soon as I can, so if you have anything to add let me know. (or anyone who is using 0.7 for that matter.)
