But that is just perfect, how could you not like them? :tongue.gif: I love how ALIVE they look, its something unique and different then anything I have seen before.
Make sure you read the new announcement by the forum admins. It directly effects texture pack artists. We are now REQUIRED to have copyright information on our threads. If we don't our work will be removed. WE have two weeks before they start removing packs. And to make matters even better, the site they link to uses HTML coding which isn't supported by curse.

We need to converse more here so we can keep it on the first page.
Looked at the newest work today. Everything is amazing. I couldn't find anything to give critique on. The water is awesome (though looks a but different because I have a mod that changes some things) and I love how everything just fits. Here are some screens of the village on my private server.

Just realized that I haven't commented since I received
the Alpha 8 download, so here are some thoughts.
A.An alternates sheet. So many textures
have been changed, from the new mossy stone, to flowers, gravel,
the wooden door, and your non-cathedral type nether; you have a
handful of older textures from previous versions that some people
might enjoy a bit more... It's never to early to start.
B.Coloring and Saturation preferences. Personally your first Alpha 8,
download version, had some textures, along with your Alpha 7 version,
that have increased, decreased in saturation since previous releases. I liked
the more rusty feel of your first versions iron block, and others might prefer
your "yellower" sandstone and lighter sand from version Alpha 7.
C. A More *Helpful* (Lol, for some reason
the minecraft forums has a red line, indicating incorrect spelling
under helpful, and removes it when you add an unnecessary extra
"l" at the end, go figure) Review
- The bricks added in the most recent version don't look like they fit
with this packs theme. Quite frankly they don't even look hand-drawn (I
guess that's a compliment, sort of... I agree with Steelfeathers in a different
brick lining, possibly a darker hue of red?
- The wool textures lack a bit of detail. While many find the wool to be
a vigorous process of completion to create more decorative blocks of them,
I think it will fit in better with the packs theme if you add alternative
blocks that go along better with this dark, gothic theme. Any thoughts of
adding possibly *throws completely random ideas out the window*
a viney stone as green wool, or a more rustic, medieval cobble variant. I
think you can truly use wool to your preference, through adding some random textures
that fit with the underlying them, as a replacement to some basic, undetailed or
themed, colored wool variants.
- Personally, the pine wood seems to be a little awkward. It looks
as if, it's not natural and the pink parts of it were layered unhesitatingly.
While others might view it's appearance differently, that's just my thoughts.
Other than all of that, your pack is superb Dorian. It sticks to a theme and masters
it. For the most part, everything justs seems... to fit. Really it's hard to describe
this pack because every texture comes out looking so solid. There are so many
packs that have trouble really finding that definitive theme, that you have set and stuck
to from the start.
Props to you good sir on one fantastic texture pack!
I just got another PM from you with a password and a version 0.8 pack. Is this a new update, or has the pm system fouled up again? (it's been going awry recently XP)
On another note, I'll have to see your animated water in game before I can make a declaration. Unfortunately, from the pictures it does seem a little 'grassy'.
Oh, and how DO you make animated water??? I want to make some for my pack, but I don't know how...

Yes, a new download link with bricks, a bed, a pumpkin, a diamond block
and something else that I think I am forgetting.
Unfortunately I have to first get tiling right for my textures, before I even attempt
to learn how to deal with water animation.
I think it is a separate file from the terrain.png that looks like a strip of water blocks. The same goes for lava and fire. I dissected Misa's pack a while ago because that pack reskins EVERYTHING.

The longer (vertically) the file is, the slower it flows/animates. (if I remember correctly)
:wink.gif:
Yeah, basically the strip is made up of several blocks, in your case 32x32, that play as like an old fashioned strip animation. The long the strip is the more frames you have and the longer the animation.

Doesn't have to be 32x dimensions if your pack is 32x. I have tested all sizes (even odd ones that don't fit the 16x, 32x, so on) and they work. Some can look weird, but the patcher doesn't size them, just uses them (like mobs).
