I like to build with many different packs, then see what it looks like in comparison to mine. I did this with Glimmar's a bunch and it turned out fun to see the differences or what still kicked ****.
Here's my new living quarter in the "Asylum" with your pack:
And with mine:
Totally different feel, but WOW...what coolness you got goin.
You'll have to make the note block though

First thing I did when I downloaded it was look at the terrain.png, and I didn't see any flaws. Then I got into a map and noticed the sides of the sandstone looked kind of funny. So I went back to the terrain.png and noticed you had the top "overflowing" to the side, and it didn't seem to tile right, I can upload an image if my explanation isn't quite clear. :tongue.gif:
Yes please do upload that as a pick, my brain is a little less than functional right now.
Thanks for the support sonlen.
I just realized that I havn't seen dorian all day. I hope he hasn't given up. Come back to us dorian!
nope, just escaping the idiocy to clear my head and actually help people that WANT it and keep my pack thread going.
I should hopefully be posting some screens this afternoon. If any of the private testers want me to change anything or tweak things then please fill this thread with ideas, criticism and fixes to do.
Just gave a look at alpha 8. Every thing looks really good. Love the new grass. But there is one little thing. There is a darker line on the grass that kinda messes with the tiling. It is really subtle and only really shows up at a certain distance. I circled it here.

Ah yes I noticed that myself while playing the other night, I have already solved that on my terrain sheet :smile.gif:

I wish my grass looked like this, with or without that tiny little line. I'm sure I've said this before, but well done!
first attempt at brick, fixed grass, and tweaked gravel and Iron blocks.
-Here lies the remains of a picture that lived in the post above...-
It's happy. It's happy brick.
While that's nice and all, I was expecting more saturated brick colors and such. It would match the "theme" better. That's my only gripe, it's a nice texture! well done.
Gravel is good! Very good. I'm assuming your take on gravel isn't only to have stone mixed in to the block? Very good way of showing that, if it was your intention. If it wasn't your intention... well, pretend that it was!
Iron block still looks a bit papery, I think it has more to do with shading and how rough the metal looks, like crumpled paper.
---
Now, I have a request. You should make the sponge texture the companion cube. :laugh.gif:

yeah the iron block is killing me hahah. I will try again. AS for the brick I am not quite sure what you are saying, its pretty red already... were you expecting a darker and more dull brick?

Regards,
Dorian.
The area in particular I was mentioning is circled, but also to the left of the area circled seems to be a blurry mess to me.
Also note, that is the top and bottom bit of the blocks, as you can hopefully see by the box around the block that I was facing in the game.
Ah yes I noticed that myself while playing the other night, I have already solved that on my terrain sheet :smile.gif:
Ah yes, Its what I thought, sandstone needs a lot of tweaking so I will look at that.
Other then that one slight issue, the sandstone looks awesome.
yes I rather enjoy it but it needs cleaning up I agree. I wasn't clear how it all worked when I made it.

I think its about time I brought in the haul from the mines.
I am going to do a new Iron sometime but this can be a temporary one for now.

this is calling me, but I am on a roll so I can't stop.
