I would say as long as some people use it (and it isn't "DEFAULT WITH THE GLASS CHANGED AND ONE FILTER APPLIED TO TERRAIN.PNG!") and you like how it looks it's worth keeping around

Thanks mate. As you can tell I have just been discouraged by the lack of thought in the community. I won't be taking down the pack cause my fans I do have are fantastic. I may however eventually move it out of the minecraft forums if I find there is still a complete lack of action to clean them up or make them more friendly to people who spend the time making their packs with love and attention, right the way through from 16x to 512x.
Well...I went ahead and downloaded the current version for now. Will run around a bit now and stop spamming threads cause I was bored trying to get work done. I could test out the new stuff for ya though...if you want

Perhaps a private beta might be a could plan. I would like 0.8 to be a bit more polished.
Who would be keen to test 0.8 privately as it is now?

I have been working today on tweaking certain textures as well as finishing a couple (new hell textures and wheat) also tilled dirt, a temporary lava. Let me know what you think of the changes if you can pick them.
new wooden doors and tweaked tall grass
new wheat
new furnace, new wooden door, tweaked birch and cobblestone.
better tiling dirt and better shading under grass. (thinking about doing a more cracked version of dirt)
A lovely shot of the scorpion fortress. New lightstone, tweaked sandstone.
Underneath the scorpion fortress. Tweaked sandstone and sand.
again guys, thoughts are welcomed, even if its that you don't like something.

OK so there is spots open for 5 testers (I may increase this with enough demand but I think 5 is good for now) for alpha 0.8. Be aware this is a testing phase and may not represent the final blah blah blah you get the point.
Don't redistribute my work under any circumstances, please only do this if you have time to give quality feedback. Feel free to collaborate feedback with each other.
Testers so far are -
1. Gestankfaust
2. Failed to Open
3. MSchwaa
4. Steelfeathers
5. 42and19
the spots have been filled. The PM's are sent.

The reasoning behind the question is that I am currently un-employed and finding work is scarce, so I am not expecting people to support me with my life, but a coffee here or there would certainly keep me happy.
