I have been working away on a few textures, hoping to get hell and piston textures done before I update the pack. Check out the previews of new textures below.

quick progress report. I have been sinking all my time into animated water and holy crap is it showing my limitations. but, patience, trial and error and coffee can work wonders.
here is a preview screenshot, as the overall animation is messy still.
colours, animation, highlights and transparency are all subject to change as this is very wip.
Still liking this, you're working quite quickly too! :tongue.gif:
Really want to see the latest screens you posted as well but it says your bandwidth is exceeded... (except for the water) :sad.gif:
Sad Panda...

yeah, i didnt not realise that was the case with photobucket, I will get fresh images up asap sheep.
Not that I know of, though I do know imageshack doesn't require you to make an account, so that should remove that bandwidth issue.
Hmm I may have to start spreading it round. Or doing my image updates on twitter. Will see what happens with things if i spread it over a few image providers.
Also progress is slooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwww. Going through *cough* career changes. SO I will have a lot more free time soon, I just need to sort out.. well eating and having a roof over my head.
Im hopefully looking at sat for 0.8, so I will see how this goes.

Try posting your images to tinypic-- you don't have to sign up to do it, and I've never (well, almost never) had any complaints about the images not showing up.

ah, not a bad plan. It was just easier to use photobucket at the time cause organising all my images in one place was great. I will replace as many images as I can (at least the OP) when I put more info up for 0.8 :smile.gif:
You've given me so much feedback, it only seemed fair to return the favor.
First and foremost: MOAR TEXTURES. Must...see...more...
Okay, on to the serious review.
I like the dark, slightly whimsical mood your pack sets up. The fine details on the doors, chests, and ladder really go a long way towards accentuating it. While I wouldn't recommend putting wrought iron details on everything (as, yes, it IS possible to have too much of a good thing), I would say that you should work towards the Grimm fairy-tale aspect these accents inspire.
Your smooth stone and dirt work really well together, especially in the sides of cliffs. When you get around to it, though, I'd suggest editing the grasscolor png to darken up some of the especially lush biome colors. Because I must admit, lime-green grass on top of moody gray dirt just does not look right.
EDIT: On that note, I should also point out that the grass has some tiling issues. I love how long and smooth it is, but there are a few clumps that form strange patterns when looking out over a field.
I like the cobble bricks, but the mortar seems just a little too sharp and unnatural to me. Maybe roughen it up a bit.
Your ores are all interestingly shaped and well shaded, but some of them (especially the gold) are just a little too blurry around the edges. I would suggest going back with a pencil tool and doing some sharpening to give them a more polished, clean look.
I have mixed feelings about your wood planks. I love their uniqueness, coloration and detailed shading-- and I adore the little accents in the corners that add interest to wooden floors-- but I personally think the planks are a bit too thin. From a distance, I am overwhelmed by the shear number of them, and they can at times resembled logs. Again, this is just my opinion-- I'm certain others think differently.
Your foliage looks good, but could stand for some touches of even darker green in the background. At the moment, the contrast is a bit too low.
EDIT: All of your bark types look awesome. The pine in particular is very original.
Oh, and have I mentioned how much I love your chests? No? Well, I do. They are fantastic. Definitely one of the best pieces of this pack.
Just one last thing: When I saw your yellow flowers, I thought I'd entered into the twilight zone. They look so very much like mine, I can't help but wonder if I was subconsciously leeching from you. If I was, it was by no means intentional. (I also only saw them up close for the first time a minute ago, which deepens the mystery).
Overall, I really like your pack and the feeling it evokes, and I think you should keep on truckin'!
tops of sand stone? could you point that one out for me a bit better?
and yeah Obsidian will be redone sometime, better.

cheers guys, in times of what seems to be dwindling support you are keeping my pack alive.
*mumbles he should probably get the terrain done, sigh*

I would use multiple places for screenshots to avoid those situations. :tongue.gif:
yeah. Didn't even realise. haha. Is there any that wont hit me with that ridiculous hammer? imgur sounds good.

about 70% done, there is still things like pistons and bricks and hell textures to do. the next update I do should narrow that down a lot!
