This texture pack is SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED for a map on my server, so some of the textures will not make sense in a normal Minecraft world.
Different wording, but same basic idea: The texture pack is NOT DESIGNED FOR VANILLA MINECRAFT. I don't expect to see a huge number of downloads of this ever, but if you want to download it, bear in mind it will only work properly on a map it was designed for, or a map designed for it.
Basically, one of the projects on my server right now is recreating the world of Kanto from the Gen I Pokemon games. As the map itself is still a WIP, so is this texture pack. If you want to check it out, drop by our server (mc-requiem.servegame.com) and ask to be teleported to the PokeCraft world.

I alreayd made a pack called Pokecraft ages ago, could you possibly rename it?
We've been working on it for months now, and it's actually part of a larger project than just a texture pack. Is there any way we could move forward with the current name with your permission?
Ehhhh I wouldn't mind if it wasn't a texture pack in the texture packs forum.
There's also a mapping project called Pokecraft already too.
We only co-existing names due to the fact we're different projects.
I will have to politely turn down your request on the basis that you haven't asked any of the 5 other PokeCraft texpacks on this forum to alter their names, including the one that is an almost direct copy of yours. Also, our pack is only posted here as a draw-in for my server and the project, and not as a general-use texpack such as yours. As such, we are not competition and there is no reason for us to change our name.
Hey Both of you, i really like the texture pack, but Riley is right. I could Suggest some names..... Like Pokemon Gen.I Texture. Or Pokemon Nostalgiapack
I still fail to see any valid reason to change the name. Especially since the rest of our project is named PokeCraft, it would be silly, pointless, and stupid to rename the texturepack.

We are literally ripping the textures directly from the Generation I games, so you can blame the grayscale on the technology available at that time.

Keep in mind we're merely using Minecraft as a tool to create a 3D version of Red and Blue. It's not meant to be played as Minecraft.
